The damage done by both fentanyl and human trafficking are far more significant than any cost increases we’ll see due to tariffs. This is not even debatable and for too long China has been attacking us with fentanyl while Canada and Mexico have facilitated the trafficking because deep down they want America weakened.

When two male animals come into contact, there is a period of strife. They push against each other until the bigger, stronger male beats the smaller one. It seems violent. Then, the smaller male flips over and allows the bigger male to sniff its balls. Then, the smaller animal flips back over and order is restored. Mexico will cave first. China is stubborn but Canada is suicidally stubborn. It’s like when Disney loses money on their trans-pushing filth but they come out with another stinker with lead character kind-hearted genius-trans. Even Canada will eventually flip over. People aren’t used to leaders like Trump. They are used to the mamby-pamby faggoty leaders we’ve grown accustomed to. Our generals wear high heels so yes, this seems chaotic. This is just nature. this is the natural order.

I hope now that the tariff war is underway, that we win.

But not for the reasons given are we fighting this war.

Trump isn’t perfect, but he is definitely predictable. He does this constantly— If you disagree with him he attacks. When you cave, he embraces you and then you’re “beautiful, the best.” This is just classic Trump. These tariffs aren’t going to last.

I tend to agree with you in that the tariffs won’t last. It’s just part of a urination contest. Trump will win in the end. When Trump wins, genuine American citizens win.

I think Trump is simply trying to get trade concessions and more money from Canada for defense/NATO.
The oil tariff is only 10%. There will be more domestic production and alternative sources for oil and other Canadian products.

I think there is a win/win situation here.

What is it that all Canadians want?

To live someplace with warmer weather.

What is it that all Mexicans want?

To live in some place that isn’t Mexico.

Do you see where I’m going with this?

We move all the Canadians to Mexico and all the Mexicans to Canada.

Sure, there will be some minor problems.

The hockey rinks will all melt.

But they could invent a new game called hotkey.

Trump started the trade war because Canada and Mexico have not secured their borders and we do not have fair trade with them. This will not last long. They will get their border secure and fair trade will happen and the tariffs will go away. That is Trumps plan.

Tariffs will hit every imported object and raise prices for all Americans, rich and poor. This will hurt the poor.

However, ~50% of Americans do not pay income tax. They have no “skin in the game”. They will, now. Populism will increase — which will ruin the elites.

Kind of a so-so/Win.
