There was nothing in the article to indicate it was anything but a snowball. Do you have insider information?
Out of every ten people you annoy one of them is going to overreact.
If you are lucky they will just tell you off.
But out of those one out of every ten will take it a bit further into the physical realm.
And out of those one out of ten will be guano crazy.
And you never know when that one will arrive. Could be the thousandth, could be the first.
So don't annoy people.
The life you save may be your own.
That is snow between 28 to 34 degrees. Never did any property damage to vehicles. This was normal teen and pre-teen behavior in Wisconsin in the 1970,80’s and 90’s. My kids did it and got caught once, the officer brought them home and gave them all a strong warning. I got his wink and caught his laugh as he left. You’re just looking for an issue. Boys will be boys. We sure as he** were not using guns. But back then I brought a gun to school and put it in my locker so I could go squirrel hunting with friends. No one blinked an eye. Squirrel is good fried in butter with taters, onions and carrots. The dogs loved the squirrel heads.
When I was about 19, I was driving down a snowy road and my car got pelted by snowballs. I pulled the handbrake and pulled a 180 in the road and started chasing the little punks.
I cornered them in some guys yard and started yelling at them.
“You guys...(Then I realized they were all quite a bit bigger than me)...have really good aim. Keep it up.”
Then I left.
Clearly the gun’s fault.
How the hell did they hit anything holding their guns sideways?
How the hell did they hit anything holding their guns sideways?
lol!!
not true! we took slush and made usable iceballs in two minutes that BROKE WINDOWS! still have emotional scars on my was ass from when my air force dad found out. let’s just say I never did THAT again.
Home. Kids wander off and do stuff together without parents hovering.
According to the article, said 12yo boy is doing well and his 11yo companion was missed.
Both West Hartford and Bloomfield have good and bad areas these days.
Higher elevation is the richer areas.
I am sure most kids in that neighborhood don’t have to worry about a parent hovering.
Do you have any information that they weren’t?
Sad. My husband and his friends did that as kids. He was visiting the friends’ house. I think they got caught, I do not remember. They might, or might not, have added rocks to the snowballs
Do a search on throwing snowballs at cars. Throwing snowballs at cars is illegal in many states. In CA it can be a felony.
In looking it up I was surprised it could be a felony. It really isn’t a laughing growing up rite. It can cause damage and accidents. Have have some sympathy for somebody who has spent $40,000-$60,000 for a car and having someone throwing objects at it.
Had the same thing happen to me.
