HUH? The fires are in L. A. and Ventura counties but he means it for OC?
Does it really need to be explained, right to the inch what Newsome means? Wherever the fire burned and wherever there was an ember that burned down a building, that county has had its tax deadlines extended out of the mercy of his heart.
They do tax by county, but of course State Law “trumps” county law so he can do that I think.
Everyone impacted by this fire should be at his house with torches and pitchforks instead.

Such BS and government theft. If one’s house burned down their property taxes should be rescinded from the date of the fire until the date it is rebuilt and they take up active residence again.

COUNTIES HAVE COMMISSIONERS & OTHER POLITICIANS-—THEY HAVE COLLCTION DATES.
IF THERE ARE MORTGAGE PAYMENTS INVOLVED-——THE BANKS & OTHER LENDERS ALREADY HAVE THE BULK OF THE TAXES DUE IN THEIR RECORDS & ACCOUNTS.
NEWSOM IS OUT OF HIS LANE, IMO.
