The Safeway Food Store in the Filmore District of San Francisco has been beset with shoplifters and other criminal activity for years. The company finally decided in December that it had enough and was closing the doors of the store for good.
George Gibbs, a long-time shopper at the store, acknowledges the problems. "I've seen people running out the door with stuff and running across the parking lot," he said. "I've seen folks walk out in handcuffs for stealing something."
Black Lives Matter activists are now demanding that the store stay open or that another low-cost food store take its place.
A member of BLM and the Fillmore United Alliance, Daniel Landry, said in a statement at a recent rally, “We’re not playing. We are demanding."

:: Let BLM pay for armed security guards in the store ::
Problem is, the “security” will be Black Pampers intimidating whitey to stay away.
While “lettin’ they homies” walk out.
If they agree to $7K/day, the losses will soon increase to over $10K/day as the locals will see it as license.
After all, isn't shoplifting legal there if it's less than $l,000 worth?
No one cares what Scammerlivesmatter thinks about anything
Who the Flying F are they to DEMAND anything???!!! Unreal.
I demand BLM open and operate a grocery store.
Black Thieves Matter
You would never make it if you lived in some rural area and had to drive miles to a grocery store, gas station or liquor store for supplies
BLM: Black Looters Matter
If we traded California for Venezuela we would be getting the better of the deal.
The law of the jungle.
And the owner response ..... “F” YOU BLM!”
BLM don’t really want grocery stores, they want feeding stations.
“Black Lives Matter activists are now demanding that the store stay open or that another low-cost food store take its place.”
Or what? To accomplish anything this way is to turn from activist to terrorist and attack the store, a building that means nothing. Would love to play poker with these people. I’d have their ranch by the end of the night.

Yeah and hold your breath and stomp your feet.
In my old hometown, South Jamaica, in Queens, the local grocery store was run by an Italian family. There came a time when the store was robbed every Friday at 3:00 PM. After a few robberies, the cops would park across the street for a while, and leave around 4:30 when nothing happened. The robbers would show up promptly at 5:00. What took you so long.
The cops advised the owners to buy a gun. They did not want to. So they hired an elderly black Spanish-American War veteran armed guard. The local yutes began to taunt him. He discharged his firearm into the pavement, the ricochet hitting one of yutes in the ankle. (The brother of said yute later murdered another yute in a barroom confrontation.)
The Italian family sold out to a Lebanese family. The Lebanese are YUGE supporters of the Second Amendment. One day a yute was hitting on one of the female family member cashiers. A male family member at an adjacent cash register cautioned him to desist. The yute told him to mind his own Bidniz. The cashier produced a 9mm from under his register. The trembling yute was last seen kneewalking out of the store.
When the July 1977 blackout hit New York City, riots and looting occurred in any neighborhood that could be called “the hood”. The Lebanese showed up with lawnchairs and long guns, chillin’ to that funky Middle Eastern music of theirs. And the plague passed over them.
Black Lives Matter is in no position to demand anything. Maybe they should tell blacks to quit stealing from the store if they want it to remain open. Or, the store could ban blacks from entering the store to remain open. See, there are options...
I have some sympathy for his point of view.
I’d feel put upon, too, if I had to commute a longer distance to steal.
C’mon, man!
