The Safeway Food Store in the Filmore District of San Francisco has been beset with shoplifters and other criminal activity for years. The company finally decided in December that it had enough and was closing the doors of the store for good.
George Gibbs, a long-time shopper at the store, acknowledges the problems. "I've seen people running out the door with stuff and running across the parking lot," he said. "I've seen folks walk out in handcuffs for stealing something."
Black Lives Matter activists are now demanding that the store stay open or that another low-cost food store take its place.
A member of BLM and the Fillmore United Alliance, Daniel Landry, said in a statement at a recent rally, “We’re not playing. We are demanding."

I appreciate the sentiments and the misery of the law abiding stuck in these soon to be food deserts. Sponsoring policemen to be stationed at doors with arrest powers and backing them up is a thought. Changing the culture is a longer term solution and perhaps the most difficult of all. If President Trump can set in motion the restoration of minority families and strong family values with respect to others lives and property, that will have been an amazing step forward. And it’s a necessary task to accomplish because without it, we are fighting a managed retreat, not advancing, strategically.

BLM has the money. They can buy it and operate it.
When Safeway leaves hand the keys over to BLM and say “here...run your own @#$% grocery store!”....and watch it fall flat on its face.
Let BLM pay for armed security guards in the store and the mayor declaring all shoplifters will be prosecuted to the max. Then again it’s Kookifornia where leftard government grinds on with its lucany driven hacks.

The easy solution is for BLM to donate their bank accounts to cover all shoplifting losses, by court order if necessary.

Safeway should offer to let them lease the building at cost and go start a supermarket
