'The Last Showgirl' star discussed her decision to ditch cosmetics while appearing on 'Live with Kelly and Mark'
Anderson first started going makeup-free after her long-term makeup artist died of cancer in 2019, but first made headlines for the decision about four years later, when she showed up for Paris Fashion Week in the fall of 2023 without an ounce of makeup.
While discussing her new, glam-free appearance at the time, the actress told Vogue France, "I don't know, something just kind of came over me and I was dressing in these beautiful clothes and I thought, 'I don't want to compete with the clothes.' "
Anderson has been there and "done" that, she told the hosts. “I mean, I loved it,” she said of having around-the-clock glam. “It’s fun when you’re new in the business and you get all this attention. But I feel like I’ve done that and I kind of just wanted to simplify and keep it low key.”
The actress also said that going make-up free affected her acting career in a positive way.
“I feel like I could focus better when I did the film, too,” she said of working on the Gia Coppola-directed flick. “Of course you have … there’s a whole team around you, doing that. But in my personal life, even on red carpets and a couple of magazine covers, I’ve gotten out of wearing makeup and it’s been fun.”

Nobody’s looking at her make-up................
No one even knows for sure what’s in makeup. It’s a trade secret. A little white phosphorous, some plutonium, who knows.
However she still suffers from silicon toxicity.
IMO, Miss Anderson overdid the makeup previously. But, now, I think she could use a bit. There is a middle ground.
Makeup can help even out blotchy skin tones and minimize blemishes. After all, a little paint helps the old barn and it does preserve the wood!
it’s always been my philosophy to never date women that wear makeup and never buy vehicles that have been repainted...

She’s a breath of fresh air. Women on TV wear wayyyy too much makeup these days. She is a natural beauty. I applaud her decision.

She is a natural cutie, even when she was a teen and young woman. She never really needed make-up, especially as thick as she tended to wear it.

One assumes that ‘an ounce’ would be an incredible amount of makeup that would lasts for weeks.....
I remember my wife’s 80s hair. Talk about your waste of time.
Her son sure looks like dad Tommy.
I remember when she hit the bigtime a buddy of mine remarked that he liked her better when she first started out with a bit part on “Home Improvement” and she looked like the girl next door, not the tramp on the corner. I guess she got tired of it too.
Yeah, so it causes global warming! :)
I couldn’t care less. Makeup, no make up, oversized lips and other parts, screw ‘em but not by me.
