More than 650,000 people in the state of New York and parts of Pennsylvania remain under Lake-Effect Snow Warnings after 14-24 inches of snow already blanketed parts of the region, with more expected to fall Wednesday.
Constableville, New York, reported 2 feet of new snow by Tuesday evening.
The town has received 116 inches, close to 10 feet of snow, this winter. Martinsburg, New York, had 18 inches of new snow, while Irving, New York, reported 14.4 inches.
As forecast, most of the snowfall was concentrated south of Buffalo, around Erie, Pennsylvania, and off of Lake Ontario south of Watertown, New York.

This just proves how horrible man made globull warming is, we need more taxes to stop it!
Anyone who lives noth of 40-degrees is immune to this “scary” reporting.
3 inches or 48 inches makes no difference.
Ya gotta go to work.
Ya gotta shovel it.
Snow and Ice Complaint Department is in Southern Indiana.
2 feeet of snow in New York in January?
That’s it?
Damn that climate change!...................
14-24 inches is nothing. Certainly not buried.
Having lived in the snow belt, it’s just a typical lake effect event.

Sometimes fox is as bad as the rest of ‘em.
I suspect there are a whole lot of people in southern California that would be absolutely thrilled if 2 feet of snow was they’re only problem.
Is water still wet?

Gotta keep up or fall behind and have to shut down. It
takes money to keep the info gurus open and spewing.
Shovel it into trucks and send it to LA
What’s new? It is W I N T E R, you know.
In my younger days (lived for some time upstate New York),
never would you hear it said it was a “wild” winter storm, as all such storms were the norm in the winter, and they did not even close our grammer school for them, in fact we walked to school in spite of the x feet of snow.
Winter. Been there. Done that.
I’d hate to have no “fossil fuel” burning devices due to bans and no power because of the snow.
8in here...meh.
Truth. The only bonus for us kids when schools did close for feet of snowfall was the opportunity to make CASH. Older folks were happy to pay us for digging them out.
We had 1 storm that was 34 inches- almsot 3 feet- it was all the snow i wanted- shoveling out the next few days was brutal- I can’t imagine towns that get several feet of snow like buffalo and out west (can’t remember then name of the town now in California)- Saw [photos of that town after their brutal late winter snows- wow- it was up to the top of the buildings- Can’t imagine what the snow load weight was on the roofs-
2 feet of snow in the Erie to Buffalo Corridor is NEWSZ?????
3 inches or 48 inches makes no difference. Actually a huge difference in those 2 numbers. Most cities are not capable of dealing with 48 inches of snow in a timely manner. It would take me a long time to dig out of 48 inches of snow. Old and would have no place to put that much snow.
