This raises the obvious question......

Did Kamela Harris's insuror not renew the policy when it lapsed in 2024?

Did her house burn with no insurance?

Harris is a dizzy broad without a clue. She needs to keep her big Jamaican/Indian/Canadian mouth shut. America already told her they don’t think she’s presidential material.

Individuals (”stars”) who built multimillion-dollar homes from their acting paychecks.
Living a good life on their residuals and investments.
Why would we believe them when they say “We are broke.”??
Are you telling me that the Kardashians are out on the street?
Please.

They will all re-build multmillion-dollar homes after their
[faux] grief subsides.
Everyone in LA is an actor.
They are acting.
No sympathy.

Property that is not insurable can be owned by people that can self-insure or can buy another house in another area if they sell off the lot after the house on it get destroyed.

You can’t move out of your body, but you can move to an area with lower insurance premiums.

“will not have the resources to recover in any meaningful way, and many of them have lost everything.”

So NOT unburdened by what has been.

Wastewater could be used after processing to create protective firebreak greenbelts in west LA. Homeowners would be able to get non-potable water at low cost if they make their houses and landscaping highly fire resistant.

The Bel Air fire of 1961 is well known. LA and its homeowners had over 63 years to prepare.

In Florida, going without insurance and hoping to get another placing if needed by selling a vacated lot is common.

I do this myself.

Insanity-level insurer fear has the bright side of changing neighborhoods into enclaves of high-asset/high-income, responsible people.

Landlords won’t operate in uninsurable neighborhoods when they have to rent to junkies who might burn down the landlord’s uninsurable building.

By the end of this year they will cancelled the entire State and moved out completely, and right now the vice prostitutes house is under Mandatory evacuation, all of Brentwood is from the 405 to Mandeville Cyn. Her house is up Kenter not far from the end of the street in the mountains and is in the fire line as we speak.

This is one time when I think Ol’ Kamala is in the right.

The insurance companies are claiming that they are not canceling policies post-fire, but they pretty clearly were (maybe understandably) canceling policies pre-fire.

If you are self insured, you tend to be more aware of risks and of ways to minimize risks.

If you have minimized risks, you often can obtain lower insurance rates.

Falsely vilifying insurance companies is the first step in the creation of the next Luigi Mangione.

It’s a dangerous time to be publicly identified as a CEO...

Did the government, in the past, issue price controls on insurance? Did insurers then stop insuring? If the answers to both questions are “yes,” then blame government price controls.

If her house did burn down, that’d be number one news story on all networks. I’m sorta glad rich celebrities are involved because they are pissed and blaming leadership rightfully where it should be.
