This is absolutely crazy, y'all!
BREAKING 911:
200 passengers evacuated a Delta flight at Atlanta Airport after an aborted takeoff. Emergency slides were used, and 4 reported minor injuries, 1 hospitalized. Flight was headed to Minneapolis.
Why is everyone running through the snow in a mad dash like the plane is about to blow? What is going on?
Passengers exited the Boeing 757-300 aircraft through emergency slides and ground transportation was used to take them back to the terminal.
Four passengers reported minor injuries in the incident, with one transported to an area hospital, the airport said. The other three were treated at the scene, the airport said. The nature of their injuries was not immediately clear.
The FAA is investigating. We still haven't heard why the takeoff was abandoned, how anyone was hurt, and why the plane was stranded and why emergency exits had to be used.
Some reports are that there was an engine failure and possibly an engine fire right at takeoff, but this has not been confirmed by the FAA or the airline.

Aviation Ping!.................
Other reports confirm it was an engine fire.

><
If there was a possible fire, I’d haul ass, too. Seems normal to me.
It’s freakin’ COLD!..............
Surely not another Boeing screw up?🙄
Well, Boeing didn’t make the engines..Either Rolls-Royce and Pratt & Whitney........
Don’t
Ever
Leave
The
Airport
Is that smoke near the tail of the plane by the emergency service vehicle?
Hard to tell, as the person recording pans the phone around, there’s some snow haze around, but near the plane it looks darker.
Don’t
Ever
Load
The
Aircraft.............
Possibly an engine fire in the starboard engine.......
Jane Fonda wanted the plane to herself
Don’t
Ever
Leave
The
Airport...
...In
A
Plane...
Makes sense. The fire is on the opposite side of the fuselage from the angle of the one recording this. So you mostly see it behind the tail and back.
By the way, I tried to refresh the site 4 times and kept getting a X video load error, and the only way to view it is directly on X, so here is the direct link for others:

Had to call relative whose spouse is a Delta pilot based in ATL. Luckily, their flight out today was postponed 3 times and ultimately cancelled. They had snow on the ground, with ice under it. Most schools and businesses including medical clinics were being closed today, as of a couple days ago. Hope it melts there soon!
“If there was a possible fire, I’d haul ass, too. Seems normal to me.”
Of course. It is actually possible that the people on the ground advised by flight attendants knew more than this smarmy writer.
If there was going to be a fire with a fuel laden jet aircraft I would’ve have been beating cheeks away from the area myself.
Unless someone else had Sticks, Chocolate bars, Graham Crackers and some Marshmallows...
On second thought I’d pass. Jet Fuel S’mores would be NASTY !!!
Seriously though I’m Thankful that everyone got out safely. For the most part.
Doesn’t Rolls Royce make the engines for Boeing?
Yes and P&W...............
Did TSA ticket them for being on the tarmac without proper security passes?
