Maybe someone should tell her, since she has apparently never cracked open a Bible.

Someone should tell Jimmy, too. Unfortunately, that someone will be God Himself.

St. Paul who wrote most of the NT was an apostle of Jesus Christ and received more revelations of Christ than any man. Let me suggest that people read Romans 1, authored by St. Paul, for the Christian view of homosexuality.

I’ve mentioned before that Jimmy Carter took every far left concept and claimed it was a bedrock of Christianity and American values.

There is no sin in being gay—having an attraction. There is no sin in being tempted in any fashion. It’s when we give in to these disordered desires and temptations that we sin.

Jesus never condoned or “accepted” sin, and homosexuality is a sin in the Bible. I’ve noticed that homosexuals tend to be very hateful toward Christianity and God, because their lifestyle is directly at odds with God, and they choose their sinful ways over Godly ones.

Jesus Christ did not ALLOW Himself to be hung on a cross if there is no punishment for sin. We all commit some types of sin and they’re forgiven if we seek His forgiveness and allow the Holy Spirit to take us away from our sins.

Without even getting into the question of Jesus saying that his Apostles will be led by the Spirit into all truth (and what the Apostles have to say about homosexuality), here are the words of Jesus himself:

He answered, "Have you not read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, `For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh'?"
(Matthew 19:4-5)

Seems like Romans were also pretty tolerant of child rape.
It’s absurd to say that anything existing during Jesus’ time on Earth, must have been ok with him if he didn’t mention it.

He also didn’t say “Hey wouldn’t it be a great idea to start marrying gay people?”

Jesus confronted people with their sins and homosexuality wasn’t a problem the Jews had ... the Romans and other gentiles, sure, but He said it Himself: He was sent to the lost sheep of Israel.

But what He said and what those who followed Him likewise said in turn only reinforces the old testament clearly said.

Sin is sin.

And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female [specified], And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together [specified], let not man put asunder. (Matthew 19:4-6)
For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man. (Mark 7:21-23)

God made man and women distinctively different yet uniquely compatible and complementary, and only joined them together in marriage - as the Lord Jesus Himself specified (Mt. 19:4–6) and who condemned all fornication (Mark 7:21–23) - and Scripture only condemns homosexual relations wherever they are manifestly dealt with (see linked page).

And homosexual relations have been tragically primarily responsible for approx. 80% of new HIV cases among men and over 700,000 American deaths, though such is not even the decisive reason why homosexual relations are wrong.

Yet there is still room at the cross for all who will come to God in repentance and faith, and trust in the Divine Son of God sent by the Father, the risen Lord Jesus, to save them on His account, by His sinless shed blood, and thus be baptized and live for Him. Acts 10:36-47

Although only approximately 7% of adult and adolescent males reported having had male-to-male sexual contact at some point in their lives 81% of HIV infections among males in 2019 were attributed to male-to-male sexual contactand over 80%  HIV infection among adolescent and young adult males (85%) in 2019, and over 63%  of all [not just men] new HIV diagnoses. Overall, homosexual relations has  (historically) resulted in a greatly increased incidence of other infectious diseases  and effects besides HIV,  from Meningitis to  premature death.  Which diseases includes Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Hepatitis A and B, HPV, Syphilis, HIV to Meningitis and body dysmorphia and eating disorders and recently Monkey pox. Gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men have accounted for 83% of primary and secondary syphilis cases where sex of sex partner was known in the US. Goy, Bisexual and other men who have sex with men have been found to be 17 times more likely to get anal cancer than  heterosexual  men. In addition to which is accelerated aging and premature deathWhich costs this nation greatly in lives, souls - and money, with the latter alone resulting in billions spent per year due to STD's, with domestic response to HIV itself rising to more than $28 billion per year (2024). And thus (as of 2024 compilation) sodomy has been primarily responsible for close to 800,000 American deaths, and yet all the above is not the decisive reason why homosexual relations are wrong.

Imagine the reaction if a consensual Christian practice resulted in such stats as these? What that is not the fundamental reason sodomy is sin.

Jesus didn’t mention it because it wasn’t an issue where he was during his time here.

Yeah but I keep getting told what a wonderful Christian St Carter of the Commies was and that I am a very bad person for judging him by what he said and did.

I can live with it.

Romans 1:26-28 ~ For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error. And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 - Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

1 Timothy 1:8-11 ESV - Now we know that the law is good, if one uses it lawfully, understanding this, that the law is not laid down for the just but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who strike their fathers and mothers, for murderers, the sexually immoral, men who practice homosexuality, enslavers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine, in accordance with the gospel of the glory of the blessed God with which I have been entrusted.

Homosexuality existed in the Roman Empire so Jesus must have accepted it. Wow, you can't help but be impressed by the brilliance of leftist argument (not!!!)

For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is [r]unnatural, 27 and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing [s]indecent acts and receiving in [t]their own persons the due penalty of their error. 28 And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper, being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful; and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them. (Romans 1:26-32)

By the idiotic logic of these leftists, the widespread existence of theft, fraud, murder and everything else in the Roman Empire must also have been OK to Jesus and His followers - and never mind what the Bible actually says.
