St. Paul who wrote most of the NT was an apostle of Jesus Christ and received more revelations of Christ than any man. Let me suggest that people read Romans 1, authored by St. Paul, for the Christian view of homosexuality.

And lest anyone think Paul was the sole “homophobe” in the NT, they should be directed to Jude, who wrote the definitive meaning of the Sodom account.

“Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.”

This

The Jews did not have homosexual confusion; they knew it was forbidden sin. The Gentiles were confused and infected with the disordered sexual sins. Yeshua/Jesus said he was not sent but to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. He appointed the twelve apostles to do the same until his resurrection and ascension when he told them to teach all nations. Then, he appeared to Saul/Paul to be his apostle to the Gentiles.

Therefore Yeshua/Jesus was correcting the confused Gentiles through Saul/Paul.
