Wind-fuelled wildfires have torn through the greater Los Angeles area, including neighbourhoods that are home to the Hollywood elite.
Parts of Laurel Canyon Boulevard and Mulholland Drive down to the famed Hollywood Boulevard had been placed in the mandatory evacuation zone. The fires have also affected the coming nominations announcement for the Academy Awards, which were supposed to be on January 17 but have now been pushed to January 19.
Many celebrities who live in the area have posted on social media about the state of their homes. Here are some who have shared updates about their homes.

Betcha those poor California Democrats wish they had those millions sent to Kamala Harris back in their pockets.
Shelly Long, Diane from Cheers, lives in the very heart of Pacific Palisades, near the high school that burned down. She’s in a condo. I have to think that’s history too.
I always loved her character on Cheers. She was brilliant. Gorgeous, smart, witty, funny.......the whole package. Hope she’s ok.
I thought she passed away not long ago?
ThankS for that! Good man helping out like that. They talk about them90 mph winds, but even a slight breeze is enough to rapidly spread a fire especially when the place is so hot and dried out like Cali is. Just a 2 or 3 mph breeze is enough ot spread fire quickly with the sparks and all.
Lamebrained morons who worship "celebrities" care.
And "NO", I didn't read the article. I don't care. I just got on the thread to call celebrity worshipers "lamebrained morons".

“The saddest part is that biden has said that the gov will foot 100% of the bill, for those that can afford to pay for 20 more houses without blinking”
Do you suppose the feds will make the rich repay any emergency catastrophe funds like they do me?
Without notice, Christmas Eve last year, I opened my Bank statement to find they have been attaching my social security checks. I wrote them a check to pay back the $25,000 they deposited in my bank but now they are collecting $10,000 interest.
Yes..I am paying the Biden regime out of my own pocket for the privilege of losing everything while being a Trump supporter.
I will never be able to get back home.

No, they will make just the poor pay it back witn interest
Sounds like - for many of these celebrities - that the properties lost were “second” homes (not the case for Mel Gibson). Unfortunate, but not nearly as devastating as the primary homes lost in the Palisades. The area in the Palisades was so lovely...if you’ve never driven down Sunset to the beach, you cannot imagine how nice it was.
I just watched Mel on Joe Rogan last night.
Very interesting interview.
He talked a lot about making The Passion of the Christ and The Resurrection.
I’m very much looking forward to The Resurrection movie. I hope he makes it soon.
Mel said him, his brother and another guy have been working on the script for seven years.
maybe with a bunch of broke movie people, they can start shaking their ass and making decent movies again
They can.
But will they?
I’ve checked over at DU and they’re blaming global warming and downplaying, significantly, the effect of Newsome’s and Bass’s failed policies.
I’m sure it will be awesome when it’s finished.
Mel Gibson certainly did not vote for Newsom or Harris.
They were born naked, and will return to earth naked.
No one really cares much about the celebrities lost homes, except to loot it.
Neither did James Woods. Yeah there are a few exceptions but 95% of celebrities are lefty liberals.
Like I could give a big green weenie.
