Carlin was right....
Saving endangered species is just one more arrogant attempt by humans to control nature. It’s arrogant meddling; it’s what got us in trouble in the first place.
Doesn’t anybody understand that? Interfering with nature. Over 90% - over, WAY over – 90% of all the species that have ever lived on this planet, ever lived, are gone! Pwwt! They’re extinct! We didn’t kill them all, they just disappeared.
That’s what nature does. They disappear these days at the rate of 25 a day and I mean regardless of our behavior. Irrespective of how we act on this planet, 25 species that were here today will be gone tomorrow.
Let them go gracefully. Leave nature alone. Haven’t we done enough?
We’re so self-important.
So self-important. Everybody’s going to save something now. “Save the trees, save the bees, save the whales, save those snails.” And the greatest arrogance of all: save the planet. What? Are these people kidding me? Save the planet, we don’t even know how to take care of ourselves yet. We haven’t learned how to care for one another, we’re gonna save the planet?
The availability of water is a known, a given. The fire hydrant system can move X amount of water, limited by the refilling of the water towers which provide the pressure. It follows that you KNOW how much fire you can quench before you lose pressure. This factor traditionally directs how much preventive burning you do and where you put fire breaks. You might also have additional salt water pumping where practicable. It’s not fecking rocket science. California has been doing this a long time. So what the hell happened here?
West coast ecology evolved to weather cycles spanning decades, from the Oregon Rockies to the coast all the way south through the Sierra Nevada.
The climate change sycophants absolutely hate the fact that the [cyclical] drought was broken by [cyclical] record rainfall, labelling it ‘extreme weather’ and an extension of ‘climate change’.
And now CA is back in the trough of the water cycle, during the latter of which all that vegetation thrived...and is now dead.
I recall reading some 15-20 years ago - yes, THAT recently - how the so-called ‘scientists’ had discovered a plant which excreted a resin during fire season which prevents ground absorption of rainfall during the wet cycles and fostered both flooding and repeat cycles of drought, wet, rapid undergrowth, vegetation die-off, fire, rinse/repeat.
But somehow in 2025 this cycle is unknown...and they’ll have us believe that these winds - Santa Ana Winds, as they’ve been known FOREVER - are something new.
Oh, and that wildfire is a threat that can be managed, combatted and eliminated (Hint: It can only be mitigated, no different than for earthquakes).
smh
But just you wait:
The lottery payout is soon to come to Newsom (I give it by next week).
The parasite destroyed the host. The number of DEI hire know nothing / do nothings running things past the point of critical mass and there was a complete meltdown of the system.
You can have nonsense diversity hires in dole fields. Do it with planes and you get Boeing. Do it with a city and you get Detroit.
If DJT came up with a cure for cancer I swear if they had the dreaded disease many lunatic liberals would refuse to receive the treatment just because Trump was involved.
++++++++++
Your statement has already been somewhat shown to be true. Remember back in OCT2020 when PDJT was trying to roll out the China Virus Vaccine? None other than Kabala Harris told the public that she will not be taking any shot or vaccine that was developed by PDJT administration. Because you know, Orange man bad.
That one aged well. The "expert" might want to explain that to the firemen whose hoses ran dry yesterday.
"How does President Trump propose that these waters be used to reduce fire risk? Is he proposing to build a statewide sprinkler system with federal money?”
No, he was suggesting that the reservoirs be filled. The ones that weren't and ran dry.
Indeed, and Central Valley farmers have been suffering for decades due to that stupid policy. Which is why I suspected Trump’s statement might be more about farmers getting squeezed than fire prevention.
It rained. And rained. And rained some more. Roads were washing out. Floods were happening. And the weather guy said cheerfully, "But it is not helping the drought."
It was at that moment I knew there is something very special about California. If water falling from the sky is not helping your drought you have a major problem. Because that is all we got.
Driving through the southern Central Valley and seeing all the dead orchards is so heartbreaking. Yet, in the northern end of the valley along 505 you see lots of new orchards getting planted. Go figure.
Pathetic propaganda from AP, pretending to be fact checking. There were a number of flawed “debunking” arguments in the article. But with regards to the particular claim that water availability is irrelevant to fire suppression, I think the AP was referring to fire prevention rather than the putting out of fires once they have started. And on that count, they’re STILL wrong. I believe Trump was at least partially referring to preventative measures like moistening particularly dry forest floor in strategic areas during vulnerable times of the year, such as the one we’re currently experiencing.
Thanks.
Turns out they turned off power to the hydrants! (See Daily Mail. Biden let it slip.)

Now that Zuckerberg has thrown in the towel on his fact-checkers, AP is jumping into the lurch. This AP ‘fact check’ tells you all you need to know about what ‘fact checking’ is all about - big brother mind control.
