To hear President-elect Donald J. Trump tell it, he is about to take over a nation ravaged by crisis, a desolate hellscape of crime, chaos and economic hardship. “Our Country is a disaster, a laughing stock all over the World!” he declared on social media last week.
But by many traditional metrics, the America that Mr. Trump will inherit from President Biden when he takes the oath for a second time, two weeks from Monday, is actually in better shape than that bequeathed to any newly elected president since George W. Bush came into office in 2001.

I see the NYT as a disaster. And the Washington Post. And the LAT, CNN, MSNBC, etc. Yep! Tagline is still accurate.

I do believe our troops in Syria would disagree about not being at war, as they’ve taken “incoming” fairly often. Ditto for our ships in the seas around Yemen, and even the operators of our THAAD system in Israel.
It’s not that I disagree with, for example, keeping ISIS in Syria and Iraq from recovering further. That’s going to be necessary until some local group with less emphasis on global jihad becomes strong enough to keep ISIS down. I would not bet on that in the foreseeable future. So... we need to be honest about what we face and what it takes to keep it down.

And Syria, and the Red Sea, and don’t forget the US citizens being held Hostages in Gaza. If it was a Republican administration the MSM would be showing their pictures every night and asking when will they be released.

Never crossed the writers of the New York Times that the tax payer numbers are made up nonsense, did it? Biden and the democrats, have zero problem manipulating and conflating figures to show something that later is ‘downward corrected’. It’s so bad, we don’t even know how bad it is. The New York Times needs to go through its writers and its editorial board and provide balance of opinion and start investigating news. Stop carrying the DNC’s water.

Wont even read it. Total BSI know, I know, I should no longer be shocked, surprised, or annoyed by the over-the-top gaslighting from the Legacy Media.
But, sadly, I am. To me, it looks the New York Times channels their editorial policy through Nancy Pelosi and her utterly insane world-view.
I'm reminded of the old quote: "Everything they write is a lie, including the words 'and' and 'the'."

I take comfort in knowing that by the time the NYT publishes its latest lie and it has circled the world, the ridicule of said lie has circled the Earth sixty times via X and Truth Social.Excellent point and excellent to hear, Flip.
