“Eh, close the letter Agencies and fire more govies, make them unemployed when there is no business left to do.”

And there is no reason to have private businesses and residences in the federal district of Washington. Retain ownership of federal buildings and grounds, return everything else to Virginia and Maryland. “Washington, D.C.” is a failed experiment.

Smart, scare away much needed customers and then go out of business.

They are infants. I’m convinced the #1 characteristic of leftists is that they have never grown up. They just want to do whatever they want, no matter how immoral, and have no consequences. When they don’t get their way, they react in some vulgar manner.

That said, this article seems to almost be a rallying cry to all such employee. It’s attempting to sound as though EVERYONE is supporting this. Yeah, good luck with that. Some will, the firings will be swift and it’ll normalize quickly...there’s too much money at stake.

That said, when the media has them believing “these people have the power to take our rights away”, you know the real problem - the failure of our free press, which is a deliberate state of affairs created by our government. The D’s are pure cancer to any foundational concepts of freedom, and there’s plenty of R’s that are selfish cowards enabling them, all for self-enrichment on both sides. It’s why they’re both so threatened by Trump.

Simple fix. Any business that engages in that behavior gets the business license terminated and building posted by the health department as unsafe for human habitation.

nothing new about this attitude among Democrats, nor confined to restaurant industry. In December, 2020, when GWB was finally certified as elected, my NR arrived by mail with a razor slice diagonally across the cover. This in a Republican area , shortly after I had moved to this home. A month ago, i needed and SSA form, called, spoke to a very nice fellow who assured me it would arrive by mail within the week. Never happened though he said he had pushed the buttons to send it out as we spoke, SSA employee or postal employee? I never use my local PO because of a guerilla war they have waged since those early days. The more you complain, as my wife finds out, the more they retaliate.

Absolutely right on the money. But if we do not fight back they will rebound and double down as soon as they can. Their advantage needs to be eliminated. Their agenda needs to become such a pain in their own rear ends that they themselves want part of it no more. Relentlessly hitting them in the pocket book is the only way to do that.

“This person theoretically has the power to take away your rights, but I have the power to make you wait 20 minutes to get your entrée,” Nancy, a fine-dining bartender, said. Well Nancy, I guess I have the power to not leave in money in your tip jar.

Don’t eliminate taxes on tips, period. That’s one thing I am totally against with Trump. Why can’t salaried employees not pay taxes? Huh?

Besides, it isn’t the customer’s job to pay them or prepare their employee review. They want tips, well here are a few. How about not sticking the spatula down the backside of your pants to get a good long scratch - yes, saw that. I don’t know why they’re fascinated with with their backsides but I’d really appreciate it if they didn’t stuff extra tableware down their backsides. Picking up dropped forks off the floor would be cleaner. How about digging the black gunk out from under your fingernails before bringing my food. The back alley dogs would do a better job at cleaning the plates. How about getting a clean rag to wipe my sticky table you put my napkin on. How about you, sir/it/whatever, not bat your eyes at my husband. How about you not climb in construction crews’ laps and then ignore the rest of your customers but when you do get around to taking their orders you don’t go all dumb because you suddenly no hablo ingles and can’t figure out pointing at the numbered meals or understand pictures on the menu. No, I’m not going to give you a tip for handing a sack through the window. I’ve seen them slice pies and lick the knife after every slice. And I most certainly do not appreciate absurd prices for little bitty cat nibbles on my plate.

Aside from tips being 20% these days, those are just a very few reasons I do NOT eat out. I’d much rather cook from scratch and save a boatload of money, have it hot from the oven, can relax in my own home, can have it my way and I know who didn’t sneeze snot in it.

BTW, I made a cookie pan sized pizza for our breakfast and didn’t have to wait until a pizza place opened this morning. Leftover homemade dough from yesterday’s cinnamon rolls, spaghetti sauce, had to cut the 10 last pepperonis in half to cover it but it worked, onion, fresh basil from the kitchen window and finished off the mozz = $2. And cheapo coffee made in a cheapo coffee maker so no tipping the barista (silly name) at overpriced Starbucks.

One of the people who claimed to be manager at Beuchert’s Saloon who said pledged to not to serve Trump officials has already been fired for her comments according to the owner. Saw it in the reviews.

1 - “progressive city” - Washington is a federal district and should always be neutral ground (I know...a pipe dream).

It hasn't been neutral since 1948, when the civil service under Truman began to re-engineer society by flooding the majority white working class neighborhoods with migrants of color from the south on the promise of a federal job. Realtors helped out by redlining DC's NE and SE sectors to create race-based enclaves for the newcomers where none had previously existed, bringing poverty behaviors with them to the workers' neighborhoods. Within a five to ten years, entire portions of the city flipped from mixed to overwhelmingly white (NW and SW) or overwhelmingly black (NE and SE), including churches, restaurants and other social anchors, because tenacious social segregation was still a thing. (As contrasted to now, 70 years later, where Americans of all colors enjoy perfect social harmony in every aspect of living, thanks to government programs).

For the white working class, moving to the white sections in NW became even more unaffordable than before; instead they started moving out to the suburbs, assuming the costs and time of commuting in order to protect their families from the sudden waves of disorder and crime in their old neighborhoods, where several generations of family had lived. Then the liberal Washington Post started blaming the least-affluent whites for "white flight," and helpful Democrats started suing realtors.

But it was too late. By the time a white Boomer born in DC saw their young adult children off to college at American U, George Washington U or Georgetown U, the neighborhood where they lived as a child was sporting signs on their English, Scottish, Irish, Italian, or Jewish grandparents' and great-grandparents' blocks saying things like "Stop Gentrification of this Historically Black Neighborhood." Fifteen to thirty years was the new "historic."

We're seeing it again now with the second decade of Obama's grand plan of resettling muslims and illegals in all the white working class, conservative, Christian or Republican strongholds where the traditional residents are not wealthy, but just getting along. Real estate jihad.

the easy solution is to avoid self-professed violent idiots like the plague and go someplace where their main goal is food

“It’s just little bits of resistance that add up and little bits of resistance that other people will see and hopefully feel empowered to stand on those convictions as well.”

No, Nancy, it’s rude, childish and self-absorbed behavior.

Nancy should be fired.
