If you order me to paint the grass green because a VIP is visiting the post, I would have taken my company and put them in line, spray cans in hand, and painted the burnt brown grass green.
That said, the military is a place where all these stupid social experiments and idiotic isms and philosophies can take root. Like all other government, there is no bottom line, ROI, customer, or real concept of risk management, and the leadership are basically political appointed hacks. So stupidity has a way of creeping in.
But the military is like a competitive sport, a boxing match or UFC fight, only the loser ends up failing at achieving the nation's goals and paying in blood.
That's dangerous! Anything taking away from our war-fighting ability will get people killed or hurt. Those in leadership that play along with these games which they KNOW impacts the military's effectiveness should not be in the positions they are in, plain and simple.
