Syria could become ‘an Afghanistan-style base for global jihad, threatening us all”
New American Prophet ^ | December 10, 2024 | Robert Spencer

Posted on 12/10/2024 5:06:13 AM PST by Rev M. Bresciani

Will Western governments now start to admit that there is such a thing as the global jihad, and that it is advancing? No, they’re much more likely to continue in their delusions and fantasies until the jihadis get around to confronting them directly.

The Global Jihad will not be random but targeted. Europe has more to fear but the focus will be on Africa and Middle East. Israel may not survive this.

I doubt it, as Syria is still broken up into multiple pieces

...........I am thinking about what the US is doing.....

That's exactly what we should be thinking about.

This story is long from being over. Why do I think this will turn out to be just another wait for the "rest of the story" debacle.

How did our regime change nation-building forays into places like the following workout?....

-Libya
-Korea
-Vietnam
-Iraq
-Afghanistan
-Ukraine

...and so many other places around the globe!

Makes one kinda wonder why blocks like BRICs and Shanghai Cooperation Organisation have been so successful.

These two organizations represent over 50% of the world's population, and they continue to grow. We're no longer the "last standing" from WWII.

We're way overdue to stop our warmongering around the globe 'cause the other side has grown up, and they plan on making a stand -- and they have the wherewithal to do it! If we continue our attempt to rule the planet, it will not turn out well for us.

This ain't 1945 anymore!

The IDF also hit various chemical weapons factories and laboratories. The Israelis are NOT going to let a power vacuum failed state like Afghanistan threaten them right next door. Now that Iran has lost power the Turks are looking to control Syria. The Turks are Sunis. They are aligned with the Kingdom and MBS and the rest of the peaceful middle eastern Arabs that just want to sell their oil and gas. The eventual goal is to build the natural gas pipeline from the Kingdom and Qatar through Syria to eastern Europe.

Name a middle eastern country that isn’t “an Afghanistan-style base for global jihad”

None of them are. The governments would prefer not to share Saddam’s or Mullah Muhammad’s fate.

Even Islamist leaders are cynics to a man. Someone who truly believed martyrdom meant a straight ticket to paradise wouldn’t bother with leading a movement long term. He’d get his divine ticket punch with a suicide attack. Why wait for paradise? Get there now.

What the firebreathing cynics do is get followers worked up enough to risk their lives. That way, these Islamist leaders can overthrow incumbent rulers and enjoy the fruits of being head honcho. While they need to maintain an image of religious devotion to continue heading their movements, it’s about personal power rather than any transcendental religious belief.

I kinda thought the same thing. The islamic ring around Israel is getting larger. Ezekiel 38/39 is forming up.

Whatever happens, expect the Syrian Kurds to lose.

Of course, it will become that.

It's sickening here that we have fools celebrating jihadists taking over another middle eastern country.

I'm sure Christians and Kurds are already being slaughtered in Syria.

Obama, his globalist buddies and Deep State for 16 years have worked tirelessly to replace secular dictators with Islamic radicals.

What will happen to Syria is yet to be learned.

But....

I suspect that the major Arab states that are Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Egypt in association with leadership by President Trump will jump in to dampen the fervor of the immoderate Suni rebels.

Syria is unable to be self supporting and the Abraham Accord coalition has both the keen desire to pacify the region and to create something better. They have the money required to rebuild and pacify not only Syria but most importantly what previously was Palestine.

Turkey is an economic disaster that sorely needs the potential income from a gas pipeline to Europe.

All these variables will be sorted out. President Trump will provide guidance.

I don't think they have ANY pull with the Al-Qaeda based HTS.

The Syrian Army rebels are under Turkey

You are correct but the Arab states have money and Syria is destitute.
