A booming trade in MORE illegal activities surrounding this plan would be up and running in no time.

Not a bad idea ... the best I have seen so far goes like this:
1) if an illegal self-deports by Jan 1 2026 they may take their cash and any debt free mobile assets with them (car, truck, etc). They willed be allowed to apply for USA citizenship at the USA embassy in their home country.
2) After the date when they are picked up by ICE they will be handcuffed and driven to a staging point to await deportation. Any cash or other assets owned by the deportee will be auctioned off to pay for their transportation out of the country. They will not be allowed back - ever.

The only change I would make is deportation would be only to Mexico via trebuchet over the southern border wall.
This data system would be used against citizens eventually. I have never heard any politician from any party say anything about protecting privacy, except as a euphemism for something very different.

When the illegals left their home country many had a passport. Catlick Charities collected their passports and destroyed them. So the illegals here have no proof they are from wherever. Their ex-nations won’t just take them back because they claim to be from there. They had to have a passport to leave their country. They need it to get back in. They can’t prove who they are or where they are from.
Query: Why must we return them to their country of origin? It’s just too much work to figure that out. I propose, gather them up, in batches, spin the wheel of destiny, and send them to some country that has invaded ours. Perhaps that would encourage self deportation.

No rewards. No deals. Self deport immediately or be held in an internment camp until processing (DNA samples, photos, criminal records, etc) is completed and then physically removed from the country. All costs will be extracted from country of origin.

(A) Any person who—This law says that if someone willfully harbors an illegal alien from the law and then that illegal alien kills someone, the person who harbors the illegal alien can also face the death penalty.(iii) knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that an alien has come to, entered, or remains in the United States in violation of law, conceals, harbors, or shields from detection, or attempts to conceal, harbor, or shield from detection, such alien in any place, including any building or any means of transportation;
(B) A person who violates subparagraph (A) shall, for each alien in respect to whom such a violation occurs—
(iv) in the case of a violation of subparagraph (A)(i), (ii), (iii), (iv), or (v) resulting in the death of any person, be punished by death or imprisoned for any term of years or for life, fined under title 18, or both.
If an entire family is here illegally, they would each fall under 18 USC 1324 as harboring the others. If one of the family members kills someone, the rest of the members of the family who harbored the killer are subject to the death penalty, too.
I would tell these illegal alien families, do you want to take that risk? Do you trust your children to stay away from criminal behavior? Mothers, do you trust your husband to not commit a crime that leads to the death of someone?
If the answer is no, then leave now before something terrible happens to all of you.
