On CNN This Morning, CNN senior political analyst Mark Preston warned that under Trump's proposed tariff increase on China, "when you go to Walmart, you're not going to get something for like $3.99. It's going to be $13.99."
That's a 250% price increase! Trump has proposed increasing existing tariffs on Chinese goods by only 10%. So Mark, where's the additional 240% coming from? CNN correspondent Jeff Zeleny agreed with Preston's absurd scaremongering: "Exactly."

Let the free markets dictate the economy. Small American businesses will thrive while Walmart struggles to find American products to cut its tariffs.
Walmart built its empire on “Made in America” before switching to “Made everywhere but America”.
Hyperbole aside, prices of ALL imported goods will go up.
And this is a good thing.
That $79 pair of work boots will be more like $129. And they’ll be alongside a pair made in USA for $139.
And we, of course, will believe CNN.

Here’s a flash for the lamestream media: Trump is NOT Hitler. His backers - half the American people - are NOT in a cult - and giving a platform for idiots to say prices at Walmart will go up 250% is stupid. CNN would be right more often if they brought in someone who read tea leaves...
So now there is a 10% tariff. The manufacturer "eats" 3.3% of their profit margin, the middle man "eats" 3.3% and the retail "eats" 1%. The net effect is a 2-3% increase of the RETAIL price, not 10%.
Yes, when Sam was alive he liked American suppliers.
He also beat them up so bad on the price, they had to find a cheaper source of labor.
