A general in Russia has been fired after he was accused of faking reports of battleground successes in Ukraine.

Colonel General Gennady Anashkin had been the commander of the Russian Army's 'Southern Group' which is fighting in eastern Ukraine.

A Russian military blogging channel, Military Informant, has claimed that 'false reports about supposedly deep successful breakthroughs' started to come from Siversk close to where Anashkin's soldiers are fighting Ukraine.

-snip-

His alleged sacking comes after a top Russian general was allegedly killed by British Storm Shadow missiles on November 20.

The strike launched by Ukraine wiped out Lt-Gen Valery Solodchuk along with 500 North Korean soldiers.

There is nothing like the stink of desperate propaganda in the morning. Smells like... victory!

President Trump isn’t intimidated by Putin’s desperate nuke threats as January 20th draws closer.

the pro-Putin Telegram channel Rybar claimed that Anashkin had uncessceraily killed hundreds of men after he sent them to the frontline poorly prepared and ill-equipped for the battle.

Interestingly, the General looks well fed. Bloated, in fact.

You are correct it does smell of desperation. Are you disputing the sacking of the general?

Simply calling something “propaganda” does not make it false.

It looks like the Ruskies are still taking territory and taking back the area of Kursk that was invaded by the Ukes. The Ruskies are also taking more territory at a rate greater than 2023.

From what I can see they are slowly taking territory east and south of Pokrovsk and expect them to take the city in 2025.

Every piece of propaganda has a slither of truth buried in it. That makes the whole piece believable to the ignorant.

President Trump "Joe Clueless" isn’t intimidated by Putin’s desperate nuke threats anything in the real world as January 20th draws closer.

Christmas is just around the bend - don't forget to send "Commander-in-Chief Sugar Daddy" a thank you card, for the quarter trillion dollars he flushed down the Ukraine toilet...

I understand the realism.
But expecting Russia to take that city by the end of 2025?!!
Do we hear ourselves opine now about what was supposed to be a 3 day cakewalk to Kyiv? How badly did Putin miscalculate the scope of this war?

When Zeeper foreign policy is based on either 1) Putin bluffing or 2) his desire to expand Russia's former empire, it's time to point at you and laugh.

It is a healthy army that fires some of its generals. I don’t think America has fired a general in decades. Trump will fix that.

The Zedophiles are incorrigible. As the war goes worse for the Ukraine they scream of victory even louder.
