This is in Tampa, Florida. I just came back from the superstore in my neighborhood. Making hay while the sun shines. The grocery markets are going to take pricing through the stratosphere and fleece everyone until Trump gets in on January 20. So what else could possibly motivate such a rise in prices at this particular moment, to this extreme extent? This is an absolute disgrace.

It’s been hard to find tomatoes worth buying for a while - Rouses is usually better than Walmart but they also charge more.
I miss the days when fresh produce was seasonal - and actually fresh.....we appreciated it more when it wasn’t genetically altered to make it “available throughout the year”....
“They also just raised the price of a 2lb. block of cheese from $7.34 to $8.24. This was on Friday in PA.”
I just looked. Exactly the same in lower Alabama.
Gosh, I wonder, do you think that supply and demand thingy has anything to do with the price or is Walmart just out to rape their customers because their liberal dream team lost and they are punishing everyone?
Just north of Tampa. Fresh tomatos on the vine.
$1.98 / ib
Which store? What kind of tomato?
