One of my quick go-to meals: block of ramen noodles cooked for 3 minutes with 1 cup of water in microwave; drain and add 1 cup spaghetti sauce and 4-6 meatballs; microwave 3 more minutes. Eat.
almost none of these include animal protein AND many of the vegan/vegetarian dishes don’t even include a compete protein, e.g., combine a legume with a grain ...
Do you take high amounts of vitamin d? It can lead to high calcium
Governor, that’s Eggnog!
Where is the beef?
Many of these are vegan, and plants don’t have the right mix of amino acids AND have much of their protein tied up in fiber. BEEF has the near perfect mix of amino acids and near total bioavailability - so why does this list treat red beef as toxic?
Shhhhh! Yes it is!
Looks like too many carbs.
Potatoes, rice, pasta = Death.

Counting our blessings. Neither me nor my husband has any heart issues. Or any *anything* issues. So far.
Our kids say we have one foot in the grave. I try my best to keep both feet firmly planted on this side of that. I will go kicking and screaming if I have to. Bit of a stubborn mule in that regard.
I had that CT Scan and they saw calcium in the arteries, said it was moderate. I then went to a Cardiologist who did all the test, stress, EchoCardigram, EKG etc. He thought I might need a stent in one artery on left side of my heart so he sent me for an Angiogram. Angiogram showed I had 2, 100% blockages and 2, 90% blocked arteries, he said I needed 10 stents. (Kidding a bit) 6 days later I had open heart 4 way bypass surgery. Moral to my story, Maybe ask for further testing. You only really know about blockages with an angiogram, but you just can’t walk in and get one. If there is any family history of heart problems get yourself looked at real good. Four of my immediate family had bypass surgeries and guess what, me too. 2 of them never smoked or drank, and 2 (me included) smoked and drank. So it’s genetic.
As an aside, gum and teeth health can play a big role in your heart health.

“I had a CT heart scan on Saturday. I’m 46 years old. I exercise regularly I still need to lose 40 some more pounds. You’re supposed to get a hundred or less on the test but I got 103 so I’m at a little higher risk.”
Good on you. That was a great score. I hope everyone considers getting one of these test. I had one back in 2006 or so. I had 2 minor spots. I had another a couple of years ago and those same 2 spots became much worse. Make sure to get paper copies too. The hospital I had them done at lost several decades of my health records.
I’m meeting with a doctor in 2 weeks to go over a plan.
