After the bombing and a tip on X I found the following. I lost it for a few years when the computer I was using died, but I got into the SSD on it recently and found the URL in the screenshot I saved was still valid:

As I recall, the Kearsarge remained parked over/near the Nordstream blast site for about a week before abruptly steaming off at full speed 48 hours before the blast, going thru the Denmark straits, across the North Sea and through the English Channel before the blasts. The Wikipedia page for the ship helpfully notes the ship was involved in UUV/UAV training operations in the Baltic in the weeks leading up to the blast. Hmmm....

I'd love to see some investigative journalists do a deeper dive on this.
