Give me the traditional turkey feast at Thanksgiving. I enjoy all the elements of it. However, one of my great pleasures that has become our family tradition is the next day taking turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, and gravy leftovers and stirring them all together and microwaving. My boys and I call it turkey-goop. My wife accommodates this now by making a lot more of everything than we need so there are plenty of leftovers. This concoction will be my lunch and dinner for a couple of days after Thanksgiving.

They’ve done that in the Navy, too. Works for me, I don’t mind my own personal bird and not being a turkey is not a show-stopper.

Corn souffle and wild pheasant added to our typical traditional feast, along with typical Scandinavian items.

Give me the traditional turkey feast at Thanksgiving.
Absolutely.
Love that leftover herbed stuffing fried in butter...a side of cranberries and a turkey sammich...mayo, lettuce and fresh white bread.
Mighty fine!

After cooking turkey dinners for over 60 years my mom is forgoing the turkey dinner this year and is going with tenderloin dinner. It is a well deserved retirement.

I get turkey tenderloins from Walmart. And St. Claire cornbread dressing from the local food saver.
I wrap the tenderloins in foil and place in the oven with the cornbread dressing on a large cookie sheet.
An hour later both are done and perfect. This approach has made turkey dinners so easy.

I’ve got a turkey they gave out at work last year so I’m going to go ahead and cook it even though it’s just two of us here.
