FBI agents raided the Manhattan apartment of Polymarket CEO Shayne Coplan early Wednesday — just a week after the election betting platform accurately predicted Donald Trump’s stunning victory, The Post has learned.
The 26-year-old entrepreneur was roused from bed in his Soho pad at 6 a.m. by US law enforcement personnel who demanded he turn over his phone and other electronic devices, a source close to the matter told The Post.
It’s “grand political theater at its worst,” the source told The Post. “They could have asked his lawyer for any of these things. Instead, they staged a so-called raid so they can leak it to the media and use it for obvious political reasons.”
Coplan was not provided with a reason for the raid, but the source suspects it was political retribution since Polymarket predicted an easy Trump triumph over Vice President Kamala Harris — as opposed to traditional polls.
The source also speculated that the government is likely piggybacking off liberal media reports that accuse Polymarket of market manipulation and rigging its polls in favor of Trump.

We should soooo glad that our Just-Us department has done such a great job eliminating all crime that something such as this is all they have to do. Or, is it perhaps that this is all that they can do given their juvenile leadership? Boy, did that clown show justify Trump’s election.
So, the FBI need not obtain a search warrant or advise the reason for the seizure? Feels mighty onerous.
What kind of poll rigging can happen when you merely report who people are betting on?
Most of the other polls were dramatically off the results for two years. They are the ones to be raided in the wee hours of the morning.
EC
Sure does.
That’s exactly it. People lay their money down and the bets reflect the vote. This is not a mystery. They are probably going to try and hang him on the idea of him manipulating the bets.
Onerous, and DANGEROUS!!
Excellent! More people that have exposed themselves so they can be fired on Day One.
Unless this is connected to side-issues, this is totally unconstitutional...................
That ought to get the attention of the lawfarers, and also of the acquaintances they will make in Federal and state prison.
Is the FBI rotten enough to simply disband and replace with something honest? Or does it contain an honest core who can be efficiently discerned by honest investigators? Perhaps whistle-blowers can help uncover the truth in the possibly thousands of cases that will need to be re-examined and overturned, with the dishonest investigators and officers imprisoned or otherwise punished, as appropriate.
It was a travesty to reduce an agency that has trained and employed so many honest, heroic, and sacrificial men who have been genuine protectors of our country and its citizens over the past century, to--in certain areas of the organization--an American KGB.
When it turns out they didn’t have sufficient Probable Cause, every person involved needs to be held Criminally Liable for a multitude of charges.
Armed Home Invasion
Armed Robbery
Using a Firearm during the commission of a violent Felony
Conspiracy to all of the above
sounds like a LIFE sentence to me.
Are they gonna show up at another school board meeting to arrest a woman who doesn't want her 12 year old daughter's boobs cut off????? .../sarc
It’s harassment for telling the truth.
Democrats hate the truth.....like sunlight to vampires.
This is why Trump won resoundingly, you jack-booted thugs.
National Review is a joke.
They are looking for evidence that Joe was betting on Trump winning, because Joe was doing his best to sabotage Kamala’s campaign.
Sorry this comment was meant for the post below this post, but in the case the FBI is a joke.
These people are absolutely tone deaf. They've been getting away with this crap so long they thought it would last forever.
Was Chrissie Wray available for comment?
Are the FBI going to raid the media, Hollywood and colleges for using propaganda and lies to change the vote of the electorate?
