Wisconsin union workers were served ‘insulting’ lunch — possibly made by ‘prisoners’ — as part of ‘pathetic’ Harris campaign pitch

A group campaigning for Kamala Harris served union workers in Wisconsin an “insulting” lunch — possibly put together by “prison labor” — as it made their 2024 pitch for the vice president last month, a tradesman told The Post.

The uninspiring meal — consisting of a “single-slice-of-ham sandwich” on “stale” store-brand bread, a bag of chips and a “tiny apple” — was accompanied by an uninspiring speech, bashing President-elect Donald Trump, that workers building a $1 billion Microsoft data center in Racine County were subjected to on Oct. 21.

“I mean, it’s not like we were expecting a steak dinner, but even sandwiches or barbecue — barbecue is like the favorite thing on construction sites — wouldn’t have felt so insulting,” a self-described “proud union member,” who sat through the lunch and campaign pitch and asked that his name not be published, told The Post.

The union member does not recall the exact group making the pitch but believes it was an out-of-state ironworkers union “most likely funded” by the Harris campaign.

“As I opened my lunch, a man started to speak on a microphone to the 400 workers in the break area … basically said, ‘OK, because we bought all of you lunch, you have to listen to us,’” the union worker previously told Milwaukee radio show host Dan O’Donnell about the experience.

If BBQ wasn’t available, pizza is usually welcome. Pikers.

Might have been a decent amount of money given to union leadership. Clearly this was a failure of trickle-down economics.

“I’ve heard stories about timeshares.”

Timeshares give you the BEST meals. The problem, though, for most people, is that those meals are the most expensive they’ll ever have in their lives, by far.

Harris and Dems are feckless children. The now geriatric democratic leadership hitched s ride to the youthful strength of the nextgen Dems for one last hoorah.. But the nextgen Dems are incompetent.

We had a consultant come into our steel mill in Ohio. Very much a union shop. He was speaking to me, two other managers and about 30 employees. Dude said, “ok, I just need everyone to take off your union hats for an hour and hear me out.” One of those employees was a shop steward. He stood up and left. Soon as he did, all the others did the same. I looked at the consultant and said,”first time in a union shop?” I called the mill manager and told him what happened, then spent the next half hour listening to the union president scream about how important it is to respect the union. Miserable day. Mr. Consultant was never seen again.

A feast like that would cost you $15 at Subway.

The campaign contracted for the lunches with a $1 million dollar contract. The contractor spent $10,000 for the lunches and pocketed the rest.
