FDA Recalls 80K Pounds of Costco Butter from Costco — Label Didn’t Say ‘Contains Milk’
Breitbart ^ | November 11, 2024 | Bob Price

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) ordered the recall of nearly 80,000 pounds of butter produced in Texas for Costco. The agency ordered the recall because the product packaging contained no “Contains Milk” allergy statement.

Food & Wine reported that the FDA issued a Class II recall on November 7 for 79,200 pounds of Kirkland Signature Sweet Cream Butter (salted and unsalted). The FDA claimed the butter packaging lists “cream” as an ingredient but does not bear the “Contains Milk” allergy statement.

The New York Post posted on social media that the recall was based on the “dumbest possible reason.”

The Big Guys days are running out. Companies don’t understand that he gets his 10% through January 20 at noon.

Doesn’t seem recall worthy. Butter has milk in it? Who knew? C’mon man!

That’s a lot of butter.

I could probably have 800,000 salt bagels with butter with that much butter.

I would have expected it to be.

They’ll have fun with this one, I’m sure.

Butter comes from butterflies.
Chocolate milk comes from brown cows.

Yeah, my jar of “Peanut Butter Pretzel Nuggets” has the “May Contain Peanuts” warning on it!! 🙄

Stupid government bureaucracy needs a downsize to help with the trillion dollar deficits and the $35 trillion public debt. PDJT needs to add a 10%-15% cut to the FDA in his initial proposed White House budget.

Where is the 80,000 lbs. of butter going? Destroyed? Hope not! Cattle feed? Re-packaged with the “warning” label? (probably not enough time for that...expiration date).

Just another example of the ‘slippery slope’ of government overreach.

Well doesn’t the management of COSTCO support Democrats including the Biden administration.

This is really stupid. There’s nothing physically wrong with the butter. I sure hope the incoming Congress calls the regulators to testify on Capitol Hill.

> What about Larks Vomit?

Milton: We use choicest juicy chunks of fresh Cornish ram's bladder, emptied, steamed, flavored with sesame seeds whipped into a fondue and garnished with lark's vomit.

Praline: Lark's vomit?

Milton: Correct.

Praline: Well it don't say nothing about that here.

Milton: Oh yes it does, on the bottom of the box, after monosodium glutamate.

Here’s a crazy idea. Get some “Contains Milk” stampers and have a store employee stamp it on every package. Would take about ten cents of labor per $4 package. Wasting 80,000 pounds of butter = crime.
