October second-warmest, second-driest on record for U.S.: NOAA

October 2024 was both the second-warmest and second-driest October ever recorded in the U.S., according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

The 48 contiguous U.S. states saw an average temperature of 59 degrees Fahrenheit in October, 4.9 degrees warmer than the 20th century average, according to NOAA. Only one previous October, 1963, was hotter in the 130 years of NOAA’s records.

Multiple states experienced their outright warmest October on record, including Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and Utah, while California, Colorado, Montana and Wyoming all saw their second warmest. The month was among the 10 warmest Octobers for a total of 18 states.

The national average temperature for the first 10 months of the year, 58.3 degrees, was 3.3 degrees above the 20th century average, the second hottest first three quarters of the year on record. Eleven states experienced their warmest January-October period on record, and unlike the October average, they ranged far beyond the southwest region: Maine, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

The earth is approximately 4.5 billion years old. We only have semi-accurate weather records since the late 19th century. It’s been a lot warmer, it’s been a lot colder, and it will be a lot more of both in the future.

Oh, I don’t know. We’ve received about 13 inches of rain over the last 3 weeks here in northeast Oklahoma. But, it’s true, prior to that, we were uncustomarily dry.

All the global warming the liars can put together has our warmed planet in second place to a 60 year old record.

Here in the Puget Sound area, October seemed fairy normal both in temps and rainfall. In November, the rain has increased and the temps have dropped a little more.

But of course also this from another Washington DC “news” publication:

“Storms will bring flooding rain and mountain snow to California and Northwest

As rainfall continues, river and urban flooding risks increase, along with storm intensity by the middle of the week. Coastal flooding is also in the cards, as is heavy snow in the mountains.”

Everything with them is crazy. Man is woman. Dry is wet. Hot is cold.

The writer tells us that the “...national average temperature for the first 10 months of the year, 58.3 degrees, was 3.3 degrees above the 20th century average”.

Well, when you exclude the two coldest months of 2024 from your calculations, it’s easy to see how your average may be higher than a 12 month average. Apparently 5th grade math is not required in journalism skule.

NOAA’s records are about as impressive as Angel Reese’s.

I seem to remember the southeast US was underwater for 1/2 of October. Maybe there might be a news story or two about that.

OH, No! This means that 61 years ago it was exactly as hot then as it is now! (Wildly assuming the data is accurate and not cooked.)

BTW, look up Oklahoma weather for 11-11-1911! What a day!!!!

Harassing and nagging people into letting the government take more of their money is what this global cooling scam is all about. Follow the money trail.
