As rainfall continues, river and urban flooding risks increase, along with storm intensity by the middle of the week. Coastal flooding is also in the cards, as is heavy snow in the mountains.

so it happens all the time

Hopefully there won’t be too many losses and no loss of life.
A small rainstorm just blew across the San Francisco Peninsula this morning. Pretty much right on schedule with the six-month dry season ending.
I’m going hiking tomorrow at the Henry Coe State Park. It is always magnificent on the day after a rain — blue skies, everything is fresh, and often big, white puffy clouds. All the grasses are still brown in dormancy from the dry summer heat, but things will be green again in another two months.
im safe, pray for the klamath river folks instead )
( unless these morons take out the shasta dam next, im about 100 yards from the mighty sacramento)
Should be interesting if there’s enough rain to wash out all that sediment that accumulated behind those destroyed dams.
Tomorrow will be a good hiking day. I am planning on hiking at Quicksilver Park. Only a few weeks ago the trails were dusty. Trails at Henry Coe will also be dust free.
