Popular Vote Interstate Compact

So, we've heard a lot since 2000, especially from California, about the undemocratic nature of the Electoral College (100% true, it's an anti-democratic institution).
Some States have been proposing an (unconstitutional) interstate compact where participating States would give their Electoral votes to the winner of (nonexistent) "national popular vote".
My question for FReepers is: Given the results from last night, how fast would California seek to withdraw from such a compact (if it existed) rather than deliver their 54 EV to our 47th President, Donald John Trump?

With Trump winning the popular vote, the Dims will rethink this compact about as much as the Dims are liable to support border control now that Hispanics aren’t as dependable Dim voters.

The National Popular Vote Compact is dead. By the end of next year, every state legislature that signed onto the compact will withdraw from it.

Well if we going to do that. Eliminate the US Senate since it based on the same principal.

Like most emotional reactionary liberal ideas, they didn’t really think this through and never considered it could bite them in the rear. If this compact had been in place, Trump might have been awarded every Electoral vote LOL. In addition, they wanted to get rid of the filibuster but that filibuster now is the only leverage they will have in the Senate.

The commies on the left will never, ever give up trying to demolish the Electoral College. It’s winner-take-all for the leftists and they’d have to win a civil war first.

And start with the repeal of the 17th Amendment.

On that note, let’s see how quick the rats disavow doing away with the filibuster in the senate.

The left only “advocates” for what favors them as long as it does indeed favor them.
It’s discarded as soon as it doesn’t.
Hypocrisy, thy name is Democrat.

With Trump winning the popular vote, the Dims will rethink this compact . . .
Actually, I don't think so. Why should they? Trump won both the popular and electoral vote, so 'awarding' him their electoral college votes wouldn't change anything.
This is all about big-state/city versus small-state/city and every time their has been a discrepancy between who would win based on popular vote and who won based on electoral college, the Dhimms have lost - and would have won if their 'compact' was followed.
So they have nothing to lose (very small chance a Republican would win the popular vote and lose the electoral college - hasn't happened since decent records were kept) and they would have won every election since Bush I if they had it in place.
Particularly if you consider ballot fraud. I don't think Biden got more than 50 million legitimate votes, with nearly all the fraudulent ballots taking place in Dhimm-controlled areas. So they can just about guarantee a popular vote win - something they can't do if the key votes leading to electoral college votes are coming in states the Dhimms don't control.

They would withdraw within 48 hours — and have the governor call a special session of the legislature, if necessary.
That’s why the whole “compact” is idiotic. There’s no way to enforce it among the states.

I was talking today to a colleague in Colorado and he was of the belief that Colorado was going to be stuck doing it. I have a hard time believing it though.

IIRC this compact is not in effect until states worth at least 270 electoral votes adopt it.

President Trump won over 54 Percent of the Popular vote if the couch vote is counting as a Trump vote.
