NBC News, in conjunction with a consortium of news organizations, conducted exit polling across the country in 10 key states. The polling included speaking with voters at polling places and phone interviews. The exit polls are not results, but instead a look at the thinking and motives of voters across the country. Exit polls help the public better understand the makeup and motivations of the electorate.

I remember that—look at this article:
Treat polls as political in kind contributions and ban them.
In 2004 exit polls said Kerry would win
Remember the 2004 exit polls that lead Kerry’s advisors to congratulate him? Never trusted them after that
Should be that she was a really crappy candidate
“New Mexico. Dems have [ONLY!] an 8000 vote lead”
I saw that tweet too. Nobody knows how many votes ANYONE has in ANY state right now. Cork goes back in the champagne bottle, for now.
We need to act as if it’s close everywhere, even when it’s really not, so everyone needs to get out and vote if they haven’t already.
There’s one House district in New Mexico which the Republicans are fighting hard to reclaim, despite a deck which is stacked against them thanks to gerrymandering. But it *can* be done.
CNN EXIT POLL - how do you feel about how things are going in the US?

But what if the exit polls project a wide Trump lead? That’d mean an early evening. I plan on watching the superb 1970 “Waterloo,” two and a quarter glorious hours, free without commercial interruption on YouTube, starting at 7:30 EST. The election outcome should be settled by its conclusion.
I don’t understand how exit polls will work now with all the early voting. FOX News explained their process will be to call and email people. That sounds like nothing but another Poll like we have been seeing all along. To me it sounds like a Wild A$$ Guess. I hope the results of their Poll is not used to call states.
Don’t forget the 2am spikes
70% of those answering exit poll said country was going in wrong direction. That’s 7 out of 10 folks. Positive vibes.
“I don’t understand how exit polls will work now with all the early voting.”
Agreed. That has all the same issues as the wackadoodle polls we have been seeing.
They are faking it and hoping nobody notices.
On the surface, that suggests that we are seeing the huge advantage in Trump voters that we were expecting.
Encouraging news.
What triggered him to say this was that the EXIT POLLS were even wrong — which meant people were lying to pollsters even AFTER they had already voted.
There’s anecdotal stories out there about people coming out and telling the pollsters that they don’t want to be identified as having voted for Trump because their friends all believe they were voting for Harris.
Any poll/survey from NBC is not believable.
Nothing But Crap
#### that
There wasn’t much election talk at work today. Given that we’re a real estate development company, I suspect our C-Suite is staunchly conservative. I work in the tax department, and I know they don’t like Biden-Harris tax policies.
Exit polls are for morons
If you’re exit polled, lie to them, screw up their numbers, and make them cry even more.
Sometimes you could tell who was winning by their refusal to show the numbers for a race. I’m thinking specifically of Buckley in 1970, but there are other examples.
