The single-issue abortion voters have painted themselves into a corner
American Thinker ^ | October 31, 2024 | Patricia McCarthy

The only thing Kamala Harris has going for her is her extreme position on abortion.

She has nothing else.

The Biden regime has been a disaster by every criterion – domestic (unlimited immigration), foreign policy (wars on three fronts), economic (disastrous inflation), military (eviscerated and transgenderized). Harris supports no restrictions on abortion up to and including birth.

When pushed on this, she says it’s not true but it is.

Harris and all her pro-abortion apostles scream at crowds about how Trump would ban abortion – a lie. He has said repeatedly that he would never sign a federal ban on abortion. They say that since Roe was overturned, “women are dying” when in fact more abortions have been performed since Roe was overturned. They tout cases like the woman who died because, they say, she had no access to abortion when in fact she died as result of the abortion pill, mifepristone, not because she could not get an abortion. That drug is not nearly as safe as Planned Parenthood would have women believe...

So, the unrestricted access to abortion is all the Harris campaign has and they continue to use it as a cudgel, a threat. They need both men and women to believe that without the unimpeded access to abortion up to and including birth, life as we know it is over, damned by the results of promiscuous and unprotected sex and the resulting births of unwanted babies who interfere with their mothers’ lives, and perhaps even the lives and futures of their fathers’ lives. God forbid a young person take responsibility for an unplanned child. Never mind that our fertility is dropping to dangerously low levels.

After the Dobbs decision I knew almost every election would center around abortion.

This presidential election is no different.

There is no objective measure by which the Biden/Harris administration has been a success. Humiliating military defeat, two major wars, rampant inflation, soaring crime, uncontrolled illegal immigration, flubbed response to disasters in Ohio, Hawaii and North Carolina, etc.

But there is always abortion. There is an enormous chunk of the population that will base their vote on this one issue whether it means the doom of our nation or not.

You might think this in an exaggeration. It is not.

Emotional voting always eventually leads to disaster. The bad actors manipulate the emotionally weak to betray everything else the care about.

Politicians used to kiss babies during election campaigns. One thing is certain. You will never see Kamala Harris near a live baby.

base their vote on this one issue whether it means the doom of our nation or not

Or the doom of their soul.

These one issue abortion folks go to the polls to vote for abortion while, at the same time, vote for the person who has been administering to the nation’s multitude of other issues and problems with a wire hanger.

There are a number of topics that people talk about today which may not specifically tie into the abortion issue, but I think they do. The loneliness epidemic, the low fertility rates, the delayed marriage, the people who never get married, the boxed wine/cat lady trope, the Guy With No Friends trope.

I think in 10 or 20 years people will look around and realize how much emptiness there is in society. Spiritual, certainly. But, beyond that, no kids, no nieces and nephews, no grandchildren. And then the whole idea that we’ve aborted well over 60 million people and that some folks have been basing their entire political votes on pushing, pushing, pushing to kill children.

I think there will be a broad societal reassessment.

It’s what women do. Men then have to bail them out.

At least her hubby let his nanny keep the baby...but I’m sure it was only because it was a “secret” at the time. He slaps women around, too. Nice guy!! Yeh right..

Overturning Roe v. Wade has resulted in even more abortions. But they don’t want people to know that, since they lose their only issue.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/medical/abortions-have-increased-even-in-states-with-bans-report-finds/ar-AA1sNPOR

What is fueling the increase?

“In this heavily restricted abortion care environment, medication abortion provided via telehealth under shield laws is making a significant contribution to abortion access,” Dr. Ushma Upadhyay, #WeCount co-chair and a professor at the University of California, San Francisco, said in the #WeCount news release. “Despite abortion opponents’ continued efforts to ban safe, effective abortion care, providers, advocates and abortion funds all continue to innovate new ways to help people access the abortion care they need.”

The report found that in-person abortion care made up about 80% of all abortions, and this mode of care has been most affected by abortion bans in states across the country. But by the second quarter of 2024, telehealth access to medication abortion made up 20% of abortion care, driving some of the national increase in abortion volume, up from 4% during the same period in 2022.

Experts noted that they did not expect abortion rates to go up after the Supreme Court ruling.

.......
Most importantly, “the data don’t tell us anything about people wanting abortions and not getting them,” Dr. Alison Norris, a chair of WeCount and a professor of epidemiology at Ohio State, told the Times.

abortions are like crime statistics

The good news is it is NOT a federal issue anymore. It is local and state. And the states can compete on the issue. We will have to do more than laws, we will have to change the culture.

Right now I am looking for a small group/individual with passion to support. Suggest all to do the same.

>After the Dobbs decision I knew almost every election would center around abortion<

Every election since the early 70’s has been about abortion.

These wannabe sluts don’t realize that many of their state’s new abortion laws are less restrictive than before Dobbs.

The other side of the equation is the men who go about having unprotected sex.

There was a reason societies in the past had rules on sexual behavior.

The sexual revolution of the 1960s has produced a society in which quite a lot of people are willing to jettison basic constitutional rights just to be able to sleep around and abort the consequences of their actions.

This PO’s me about current campaign advertising. Dems have been busy hammering on “my body, my choice” ads attacking Republicans, while Republicans have responded with... nothing. Shouldn’t we be calling out Dems as the “Kill Our Offspring” party?

The stupidity of single issue (abortion) voters is astounding. This is not a federal issue any more, there’s NOTHING a president can do to affect abortion, except to encourage a constitutional amendment for or against.

Actually, the Dobbs decision did much more damage than allow for an increase in abortion. It has fooled many people into thinking that abortion is no longer a federal issue. It most certainly is. Donald Trump himself has plans to promote abortion through the US mail, a federal government agency.

Worse yet, Trump has made it clear that he would oppose any plan to ban abortion on a national level.

SCOTUS sent it back to the states. How is it still a federal issue? Trump won’t do a ban because he can’t do a ban, it would be unconstitutional.

This is how it’s a federal issue;

https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/4260313/posts

The thought that abortion was sent back to the states is worthless if the Trump and the federal government is complicit in providing using means for abortions. Even to pro life states.
