One singer's rocky performance of the national anthem had her asking for a do-over in the middle of the song.
Singer Loomis performed “The Star Spangled Banner” at the Free & Equal Elections Foundation presidential debate featuring third-party candidates on Oct. 24.
Loomis' performance kicked off the live taping. She successfully belted out the first few lines of the song but appeared rattled once she got to a higher note and her voice cracked out of pitch.
After struggling to sing, "And the rockets’ red glare," Loomis said into the mic, “I f---ed it up. I f---ed it up. Can I go back, can I go back, please?”
However, someone off-camera notified her that the broadcast was live. She continued the song, but again paused after a lyric to say, "I got too nervous."

That’s right.
The “Artists” keep trying to do the stupid “Vocal Gymnastics” bullshit instead of singing it respectfully and the way it should be sung. GTF away “Artists!”
You probably know this, but Leslie Nelson was a serious actor for most of his career. Doing the “Police Squad” series was a huge departure for him. Also “Airplane”.
Stuff happens. I feel for her.
The funny thing is now if I watch him playing a serious role, I still crack up.
I remember him from “Forbidden Planet” and “Swamp Fox.”
Third party third rate.
I remember he was always the strait guy for like 25 years. Then he started his comic acting and it worked so well because it contrasted so well with your expectations.
There were several other senior actors just like that in Air Plane.
"Looks like I picked the wrong day to stop sniffing glue".
The absolute best singing of Our National Anthem I have ever heard was done back in the mid-80’s for the Opening Ceremonies at one of the NASCAR Races at Talladega Superspeedway by an Alabama State Trooper. I can only describe it as PERFECT !!! The lyrics, tone, cadence, presentation- everything !!!
Tsk, tsk, tsk. Texas resident, you are embarrassing me!
I remember Anne Francis from Forbidden Planet
👌
Oops. I was listening to Willie while typing this.
“Blue Skies”
My younger sister is a trained operatic singer. She sings for weddings and funerals. She is 5 foot nothing, but has strong volume and clarity. About 10 years ago, she sang the National Anthem at a Texas Rangers game in Dallas. Our family bought up 2 rows of seats to see that. Very proud moment when I saw my sister on the jumbotron belting out the Anthem with no mistakes.
Never heard of this person.
I really cannot get over the fact that so many women have become so foul-mouthed.
she trilled and wanged our national anthem in true ghetto dtyle.
i hope she was not paid.
