Covid fatigue recovery advice?
Oct.27, 2024 | Me

Posted on 10/27/2024 3:37:28 PM PDT by heartwood

I got off very lightly, except for the fatigue. Sleeping twelve hours a day would be wonderful but the bills say otherwise.

I have a physical job, a long commute, a large young dog, a house needing repairs and maintenance...prioritize means house slides...

can you share the name of the CVS B compound? Also the tumeric capsule?
I had a MAJOR case of Covid in October 2021 right after my husband passed away. 21 people attending his memorial came down with covid ( that is when it was really bad!)...
I did not recover real fast and have been left weak ever since.. lasting here over 3 years. Sigh. I have been taking major vitamins... and even take a B lozenge... but wonder about the one you take from CVS.

Good thread, thank you. Will read tomorrow;). Catching up on fatigue and tiredness from at least 2nd round of covid now. Feeling like I am 90…but I’m not. (Did initial covid shots 3+ years ago but NO boosters)

Exercise and beer. Sweat and pee it out.

Two foods that give me a major boost of energy: pizza, and beef liver.
All suggestions on this thread are great. B12 pills offer a lot more than the MDR but what your body can’t use is harmlessly excreted. Quercetin, zinc, D3 — can’t hurt. Still, you might want to get your thyroid checked.
If you don’t want to consume a batch of supplements every day, eat more eggs, they are nature’s multivitamin.

Yes it does sound excessive. For a decade I thought that so I took 1/4 pill but noticed no difference. 1/2 pill — 50,000% the MDR — in the morning sublingual (under the tongue) works for us. B12 is an ingredient in “energy drinks.” It’s completely safe at all dosages, so try it and see.

Here’s an article. I seem to recall the bioavailability of B12 is low, even sublingually. https://www.lewrockwell.com/2017/03/joseph-mercola/big-trouble-b12-deficient/

Very timely post.

I have Long Covid. I've chatted with many a Freeper about it. I've had it since Nov 2022, so you're not alone. I got hit with the big four; chronic fatigue, nausea, insomnia and dizziness/brain fog/vertigo.

Bottom line, there is NO standard treatment or drug that will help according to the medical community, and even the FLCCC crowd will tell you the same thing. FLCCC will provide a fact sheet on what they say could help, but, again, there is no remedy. Your best course of action is to research the information on the FLCCC website.

That said, there are drugs and supplements that many here say help them. Ivermectin, Bromelain, CoQ10, Nattokinaise, D3, NAC, Quercetin, the list goes on. But for me, nothing but rest and pacing myself has given me some relief from the fatigue, or as it's called in the medical community "post exertion malaise."

Like I said, I've had it for two and one half years, and there is no end in sight. The key, as I'm sure many of here have stated, is getting the spike protein out of your body. Only after that's occurred will you get any kind of relief.

I'm as open, as you are, to whatever advise we can get to help our conditions, but I wish I could help you more. If you do go the route of Ivermectin, about the only place you'll be able to purchase it is from a vendor overseas in India. That is, of couse, unless someone here knows where we can purchase it closer to home.

First of all. Have you had a full panel of blood work done?

Bears repeating. Let's hope everyone here follows that advice.

Vitamins and supplements are all very well but you need to be checked out for various ailments, anemia, hypothyroid, etc.

I take B12 daily. Bottle is nearing empty. I check out Super B. Take no turmeric of Vitamin C’s. Review them also. THXs

I get LDN @

https://agelessrx.com/ldn-science/

Both the Rx and the capsules.

Probably works best for fatigue combined with Wellbutrin (and you’ll lose weight at the same time — I lost over 10%, no other changes).

I am attacking Long Haul Wuhan Virus. I am going on guanfacine at bedtime and N-Acetyl Cysteine. The Guanfacine id an old drug the 60’s to treat hyperactive children. See if your doctor will prescribe it for you.

I’m not even sure I ever got the Vid. If I did it wasn’t more than allergies or a slight cold. I do take magnesium and zinc if the night leg cramps get bad enough. Thx for the suggestion on other options.

I ordered my ivermectin and HQC via online pharmacy but it was back ordered and had the real horse meds available in case while I waited. I had the vitamins on hand also. Vid Never touched our house of unvaxed. I know vaxed and boosted people who have had it 4 or 5 times now. I’m surprised people get tested because their symptoms were not bad. 3-5 day cold.

You need a prescription though, right? Also, I am on a tincture of opium for a health condition, not sure if ldn would cause issues, but it is a low dose, so perhaps not.

I have been looking into nootropics for chronic fatigue, some “look promising”, but haven’t tried them yet, but then agsin, so many things over the years “sounded great on paper for chronic fatigue” but turned out to be of no help at all and a colossal waste of time and money.

I’m now in a “no sleeping” or “little sleep” phase right now- which is really adding to the misery. I’m a zombie right now. Wish there was a way to try ldn without prescription for about a month to see if it’d work or not. Just The brain fog lifting would be a real blessing too.

Ok, I see that they do an evaluation and can prescribe through virtual visits- I think I’ll give them a try, but I might not get approved because of the opioid use, but worth a try I guess. Thanks for the link

“post exertion malaise.”

That is a classic symptom that goes along with chronic fatigue- and one of the most debilitating symptoms of cfs.

There are some nootropics that “are said to” help with pem- and brain fog, but I haven’t tried them yet except for 2, l-dopamine (mucana pruriens) and l-taurine. I have only been taking them a few days, but so far no help. Infsct, it may be causing sleeplessness- but then agsin I go through periods of time where I can’t sleep for awhile- then it passes, so who knows, might be just coincidental.

Yes, its called Super B Complex with Vitamin C. Its for energy metabolism and immune strength.

We order the organic turmeric by the pound from Mountain Rose Herbs online. A pound lasts forever and its the best you can buy. With shipping its about $26 but its a powerful anti inflammatory. We get the gel caps at the health food store and fill them ourselves.

You can buy turmeric capsules at Costco and other places but they are super expensive and poor quality and don’t work. We take the turmeric for our arthritis and even have our dog on it after she had side effects from the rimidil.

Yep, LDN will probably be contraindicated because of the tincture. That’s rough. Also, I think bupropion has to be added for full effectiveness.

Why not purchase the vet ivermectin on Amazon for $12 or so. You have a pet, right?

Supposedly magnesium glycinate absorbs better than other types of magnesium. Supposedly food sources can absorb better than supplements, that’s why I like the pumpkin seeds, plus they are so good in salad and as a snack and have a both magnesium and manganese and other minerals. Costco has them on sale every couple of months for about $6 for a big bag.
