‘I Worked For John Kelly And Don’t Believe Him’: No One’s Buying Atlantic ‘Trump Loves Hitler’ Smear
Daily Wire ^ | Oct 24, 2024 | Virginia Kruta

The Atlantic’s “Trump loves Hitler” hit-piece hit a snag as several people who worked alongside — and for — retired Marine General John Kelly have come out to publicly dispute his claims.

In the article that was published on Tuesday, Kelly was quoted as saying that Trump had often praised “the German generals,” and when asked to clarify, had told Kelly he wanted the kind of generals that Hitler had. Kelly also claimed that Trump had praised Hitler for doing “some good things” like rebuilding the German economy after World War I.

But according to a few who worked either alongside or for Kelly in the Trump White House — who was at the time serving as Chief of Staff — the retired general’s words appear to be the complaints of a malcontented ex-employee directed at a former boss he no longer likes.

“I worked for John Kelly and don’t believe him,” Mercedes Schlapp said in a post on X. “His last ditch effort to stop Donald Trump is desperate. This is a personal vendetta from a staffer who failed at his job and believed as a chief of staff that he should have been the ultimate decisionmaker. President Trump loves America, will preserve our freedoms, and has done more for the Jewish people than any other president.”

At this point, Trump has faced so many allegations that have been proven false and has faced so much persecution by his political enemies - no reasonable person is going to believe any new charge against him.

My wife did. She changed her vote at the last minute. Sorry to say, most women today are so gullible it’s not even funny.

I am sorry to hear she fell for it. I am a female, and I say B.S. It reminds me of the accusations against Kavanaugh. Funny how these women come out of the woodwork at just the right time.

Sorry, this was about Hitler, not the 26 women. But I didn’t fall for this Hitler garbage either. It’s a desperation play. Trump was president for 4 years, and he never displayed any Hitlerian tendencies. We can all see his record!

Well, people say a lot of things. Who knows which are true and which are false. Personally I give credence to the disgruntled fired employee version. It makes more sense.

German military officer corps by and large were German patriots who had little love for Hitler. A number of them wanted from early on to remove him before he destroyed Germany. But after Hitler’s early diplomatic successes, it became politically unfeasible. Once Hitler had launched the war, as loyal Germans they were committed to doing their duty for their country’s success. Later of course, it was the generals who did attempt to take Hitler out. So I think if anything, Trump was musing about generals who were patriots, not generals who were sycophants, and certainly not saboteurs. After dealing with “White Rage Milley,” one can understand why.

Trump hates losers. Hitler was a loser. His generals were losers. And McLame was a loser.

That can’t be right. Someone on this forum this morning claimed to know Kelly really well and said he’s a stand up guy.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Invisible enemy makes sure their minions obey when commanded.
Blackmail and other threats can be very compelling.
This is nothing new. Perot was forced to drop out of race due to threats against his family. Some of these insane judges and prosecutors are probably also under their thumb, explaining why they would risk reputation and career by outrageous decisions.
These clowns are not that idealistic. They are owned.
Kelly may have been a stand up guy at an earlier stage of his career, before selling out and then finding himself completely trapped.
At this point, they are becoming comical.
It’s like reading the responses from someone drowning in a debate here on the FR or anywhere else for that matter. Often, folks become illogical (fallacies), personal and pretend like posting a bunch of emotional trash is an argument... At that point, it gets amusing and you know “YOU’VE WON.”
Trump is winning, regardless of what the MSM says. What you are are seeing and hearing is victory. This is pure desperation on their side.
As someone else here explained to me, Trump is a “disruptor.”
He threatens the uni-party, the un-elected globalist cabal, the oligarchs who have been fat catting by buying influence and ensuring the regulatory framework benefits them, at the EXPENSE to the general public.
Trump likes to live dangerous.
Biden, Obama, Bush W, Clinton... These people simply give all those with real power and influence what they want. They play ball.
Hundreds of billions are at stake (greed). Power is at stake. These people have huge ego’s are often narcissistic, there is no morality for them, there are no limits to this game. Even if elected, I pray Trump makes it four years with his head in one piece.
That pig Kelly should be stripped of pension benefits, stripped of his rank, arrested and charged with mutiny.
