Report: British Advisors to Harris Campaign Want to ‘Kill Musk’s Twitter’ - Elon Musk responded: “This is war.”

Journalists Paul Thacker and Matt Taibbi revealed internal documents from the Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) planning to “kill Musk’s Twitter.”

CCDH also hopes to strengthen ties with VP Kamala Harris and other Democrats.

CCDH’s founder, Morgan McSweeney, is already advising Harris’s campaign.

“Our mission is to protect human rights and civil liberties online,” according to CCDH’s website. “Social media companies erode basic human rights and civil liberties by enabling the spread of online hate and disinformation.”

In other words, CCDG wants censorship.

Paul D. Thacker @thackerpd

2) Internal Center for Countering Digital Hate document shows their annual objective is "Kill Musk's Twitter"

This is their internal monthly planner. Their goal is to also trigger regulatory action, although they are a tax-exempt nonprofit.

Paul D. Thacker @thackerpd

3) CCDH held a private conference w/ a slew of liberal groups organizing against Musk including Biden White House, Congressman Adam Schiff's office, Biden/Harris State Department officials, Canadian MP Peter Julian & Media Matters for America

Elon Musk

@elonmusk This is war

The CCDH moved to the United States in 2021.

Hmmm…who took office in 2021? Yes, President Joe Biden. I’m sure it’s just a coincidence.

This is insane:

“The Disinformation Dozen” report coincided nicely with a Biden administration campaign to beat back American fears of the COVID vaccine and was referenced by White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki in a warning that social media companies should censor the accounts.

“There’s about 12 people who are producing 65% of anti-vaccine misinformation on social media platforms,” Psaki claimed, citing the CCDH’s work. Three years later the truth finally caught up with [CCDH’s current CEO Imran] Ahmed’s misinformation. In recent months, Forbes, The Independent, and The Guardian have all issued corrections to articles on CCDH’s 2021 report noting that Facebook investigated CCDH’s allegations and found them baseless and without proven methodology.

According to documents provided to both publications along with interviews with CCDH whistleblowers, an invitation-only conference held this past summer in Washington underscores the group’s priorities. Attendees at CCDH’s private event included a slew of liberal groups now organizing against Musk including a senior advisor at the White House, a Democratic Party staffer in the office of Congressman Adam Schiff, Biden/Harris State Department officials, Canadian MP Peter Julian (recently tweeted “Boycott all advertisers on Twitter”) and Media Matters for America (a Democratic party-aligned watchdog now locked in a lawsuit with Musk).

The second annual CCDH priority on the document reads, “Advertising focus.” This likely references the group’s apparent strategy of publishing reports that claim Musk allowed hate to proliferate on X, followed by efforts to drive away the company’s advertisers.

CCDH hides its donors and employees. Yes, it’s a dark money organization.

In 2021, Ahmed raked in $1.47 million in donations.

One donor from that year gave CCDH $1.1 million. A whistleblower claims the anonymous donor is Aleen Keshishian, actor Mark Ruffalo’s agent.

Selena Gomez, another Keshishian client, supposedly has donated to CCDH.

Harris Campaign I believe this is what we call foreign election interference:

The Center for Countering Digital Hate is the anti-disinformation activist ally of Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s Labour Party, and a messaging vehicle for Labour’s neoliberal think tank, Labour Together. Both the CCDH and Labour Together were founded by Morgan McSweeney, a Svengali credited with piloting Starmer’s rise to Downing Street, much as Karl Rove is credited with guiding George W. Bush to the White House.

The CCDH documents carry particular importance because McSweeney’s Labour Together political operatives have been teaching election strategy to Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, leading Politico to call Labour and the Democrats “sister parties.” CCDH’s focus on “Kill Musk’s Twitter” also adds to legal questions about the nonprofit’s tax-exempt status as a 501(c)(3) organization.

In the last two months, the Washington Post and Politico, among others, have run a series of features about British advisors from Labour Together rescuing the distressed political damsel that is the Harris/Walz campaign. Politico casts McSweeney as the “election mastermind” who first helped Keir Starmer defeat leftist Jeremy Corbyn to become the head of Labour, all the way to Starmer’s “landslide” win over Conservatives to become Prime Minister this past July, implying that McSweeney and his team can perform a similar miracle for Harris.

UK’s Labour government wants Harris to win so she could stand with Starmer.

We’ve already seen Labour staffers knocking on doors for Harris over the summer.

However, Thacker and Taibbi disclosed that McSweeney’s groups started infiltrating themselves into America years ago:

In the U.S., a now-defunct CCDH offshoot called Stop Funding Fake News led multiple successful boycotts of media figures across the spectrum, from Zero Hedge during the BLM riots to The Federalist. The formula often involved collaborating with a mainstream media outlet to level an accusation of bigotry, followed by a pressure campaign against advertisers to shut off revenue to the target.

“CCDH went directly after us and he worked with Google when they briefly suspended all advertising on Zero Hedge, our primary source of revenue then,” recalls Zero Hedge editor Tyler Durden, noting that the boycott came after CCDH worked with NBC on an article depicting them as racist for claiming damage from BLM riots was under-covered. Similar tactics led to demonetization of The Federalist, whose apparent crime was a June 3, 2020 piece called, “The Media Are Lying to You About Everything, Including the Riots.” Like Zero Hedge, The Federalist criticized mainstream coverage of BLM protests, including calling not-yet-fired CNNanchor Don Lemon a “not very bright man.”

“NBC News colluded with a foreign left-wing group in an attempt to destroy us because it disagrees with our political commentary and media criticism,” The Federalist editor Mollie Hemingway told The Wall Street Journal at the time.

CCDH attempted to take down Substack over supposed vaccine disinformation.

The group failed when Substack “essentially told them to fuck off” when they demanded the removal of Alex Berenson and Dr. Joseph Mercola.

Former President Donald Trump’s campaign filed a complaint with the FEC claiming foreign interference due to the U.K. Labour strategists advising the Harris campaign.

However, as far as we know, the Labour Party staff have not made any financial contributions.

If (big IF) Trump wins, I hope he delays appointing a US ambassador to the UK for as long as possible as a deliberate and public slight to the nation of bad teeth and ravenous pederasts.

Morgan McSweeney (born 1977) is an Irish political aide who has served as Downing Street Chief of Staff under Prime Minister Keir Starmer since October 2024. He was previously the campaign manager for the Labour Party and director of the think tank Labour Together.

In 2017, he became Labour Together director during the Labour Party leadership of Jeremy Corbyn, where he worked to replace Corbyn and to reduce left-wing influence in the party. In 2020, he led Starmer’s successful Labour leadership campaign and subsequently led Labour’s successful campaign in the 2024 UK general election.

In June 2024, New Statesman ranked McSweeney first on a list of the most influential progressive figures in the UK, having described him as Starmer’s “most trusted aide”. In October 2023, The Times stated that “nobody without elected office wields as much power in British politics as McSweeney”.

In 1997, motivated by backing for the Good Friday Agreement, McSweeney joined the Labour Party, and in 2001 he was hired to work as an intern receptionist and in the party’s attack and rebuttal unit in Millbank, where he input data into Peter Mandelson’s “Excalibur” database. Alan Milburn dispatched McSweeney to marginal seats to campaign for Labour in the 2005 general election.

He then moved on to campaign for Steve Reed for the 2006 Lambeth London Borough Council election, working to take control of the council from the Liberal Democrats and Conservatives, gaining a reputation as a “formidable organiser,” according to The Guardian.

McSweeney became director of the think tank group Labour Together in 2017, reporting to a board that included Reed, Lisa Nandy, Jon Cruddas and Trevor Chinn, and also serving as company secretary. As Labour Together director, he declared his aims to be “to move the Labour party from the hard left” and to “build a sustainable winning electoral coalition.”

Under his leadership, Labour Together worked to plan a potential replacement of then leader Jeremy Corbyn and reforms that would prevent the left-wing of the Labour Party from regaining power. Through polling Labour membership, he determined that it would be possible to peel away the soft left, younger “idealists” of Labour from Corbyn’s support base, eventually picking Keir Starmer to do so. As part of his strategy, he also focused on reducing the popularity of the newly founded left-wing news website The Canary among Labour members while building a close link between The Guardian and Labour Together.

He composed a three-year plan for Starmer to become Prime Minister after taking control of the party, which involved first performing “immediate CPR” to reform the party’s ranks (which included removing supporters of Corbyn and Scottish Labour leader Richard Leonard and excluding them from future leadership contests), then secondly becoming an effective opposition in parliament by directly attacking the Conservatives on their failures, and lastly winning power by outwitting the Conservatives on crime, defence and the economy.

Starmer succeeded in the 2020 Labour Party leadership election on 4 April 2020 with 56.2% of the vote and immediately picked McSweeney as his chief of staff, causing him to leave Labour Together.

In September 2021 McSweeney was appointed as Labour’s director of campaigns. He also worked to impose a new MP selection process for the Labour Party, centralising the longlisting of candidates which largely locked out left wing candidates and those connected to Corbyn’s leadership. The Times has noted that “Those who question his authority inevitably find Starmer sides with McSweeney.”

He led preparations for the 2024 United Kingdom general election, with Scotland being a priority target for his campaigning. McSweeney made contact with members of the US Democratic Party and Australian Labor Party, respectively Neera Tanden and Anthony Albanese, to discuss election tactics.

The UK should just ban X if that's what they want to do.

That way, they stop pretending to be a free country.

Neera Tanden (born September 10, 1970) is an American political consultant and government official serving as director of the United States Domestic Policy Council since 2023. Tanden previously served as a senior advisor and staff secretary to President Joe Biden from 2021 to 2023 and as president of the Center for American Progress (CAP), a center-left policy research and advocacy organization, where she worked in different capacities since its founding in 2003 until she joined the Biden administration in 2021.

Tanden has worked on several Democratic presidential campaigns, including those of Michael Dukakis in 1988, Bill Clinton in 1992, and Barack Obama in 2008. Tanden was a senior staffer to Hillary Clinton during her 2000 election to a United States Senate seat in New York, and during Clinton’s tenure as a Senator. Tanden advised Clinton during her run for the 2008 Democratic nomination, and later helped her defeat Bernie Sanders to win the nomination in 2016, and run against Donald Trump in the 2016 general election. In her government service with the Obama administration, Tanden helped draft the Affordable Care Act (ACA).

Neera Tanden was born on September 10, 1970, in Bedford, Massachusetts, to immigrant parents from India. She has a brother, Raj. Her parents divorced when she was five, after which Tanden’s mother, Maya, was on welfare for nearly two years before obtaining a job as a travel agent. When she was nominated to lead the OMB in 2020, Tanden stated she was “mindful that my path in life would never have been possible without budgetary choices that reflected our nation’s values”.

Tanden is a 1988 graduate of Bedford High School. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 1992 and graduated from Yale Law School with a Juris Doctor in 1996. At Yale Law School, she was submissions editor for the Yale Law & Policy Review.

Tanden has been regarded as a Clinton loyalist and personal friend of Hillary Clinton, whose professional life has been significantly defined by her work with the Clintons. The New Republic has described Tanden as Hillary Clinton’s closest policy adviser.

She worked with President Bill Clinton’s campaign on new energy policies, and health-care reform, as associate director for domestic policy in the Clinton White House, and as a domestic policy advisor in the First Lady’s Office.

In 1999 and 2000, Tanden was deputy campaign manager and policy director for Hillary Clinton during her successful senatorial campaign in New York. After the election, Tanden served as Senator Clinton’s legislative director from 2003 to 2005.

After Barack Obama was nominated as the Democratic presidential candidate, Tanden was one of the first, and also one of the few former-Clinton campaign staffers to join his team. She was domestic policy director for his successful general election campaign.

Tanden served in the Obama administration as senior adviser to Secretary Kathleen Sebelius of the Department of Health and Human Services. She helped to draft the administration’s health care legislation, including work specific to its proposed, but later withdrawn, public option. She also negotiated with Congress and stakeholders on several provisions of the bill. She has been described as one of the “key architects” of the Affordable Care Act.

In 2003, Tanden had a central role in the founding of the Center for American Progress (CAP).

On November 30, 2020, President-elect Joe Biden introduced Tanden as his nominee for Director of the Office of Management and Budget. Immediately afterwards, Tanden deleted over 1,000 of her previous tweets, and changed her Twitter bio from “progressive” to “liberal”. During the confirmation hearing, Tanden apologized for several of her tweets attacking Republican senators, including tweets calling Susan Collins “the worst”, comparing Ted Cruz to vampires, and using the nickname “Moscow Mitch” for Mitch McConnell and comparing him to Lord Voldemort.

In February 2021, Senator Joe Manchin said he opposed her nomination due to “overtly partisan statements” in the past, putting her approval in doubt due to the 50–50 split in the Senate between both parties. Other senators, including Susan Collins, Rob Portman, Mitt Romney, and Pat Toomey said they would also vote against Tanden’s nomination. Collins argued that Tanden’s deletion of over 1,000 of her tweets “raises concerns about her commitment to transparency”.

She is regarded as a loyalist and confidante of Bill and Hillary Clinton. She credits her experiences growing up relying on government assistance as the reason she has entered politics and the motivator of her career. She is known for her outspoken and prolific Twitter presence, where she has criticized lawmakers both to her political left and right. Senator Bernie Sanders wrote a letter in 2019 accusing Tanden of “maligning my staff and supporters and belittling progressive ideas”.

In 2019, Tanden welcomed the arrest of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, accusing him of being “the agent of a proto fascist state, Russia, to undermine democracy.”

As far as Great Britain is concerned, it is basically no longer a significant economic or military power. I’ve heard it described as a very large museum.
