Folks, advice needed:
I live in South Philadelphia, the heart of the inner city.
Some non-negotiable things: I’m not moving, I won’t surrender the ownership of my home, no surrender.
So, in anticipation of the Election, I’ve stocked up on batteries, lanterns, charcoal, matches, canned goods, fire extinguishers, cash, gold, candles, ammo, non-firing weapons, first aid supplies (wife is a Nurse) and gasoline.
Anyone better versed in this than I am have suggestions which I may have overlooked?
TOPICS:
KEYWORDS: awareness; civilunrest; freepersq; prep; prepper; preppers; shtf; summeroflove; survival; unrest; vanity

You want to be able to cover the windows so people can’t see lights on.

I don’t see water listed but I’m sure you have already thought of that.

Non-firing weapons? Do you mean clubs?

A firing weapon might be a good item to have on hand …

Sorry, I’ve got no experience in riot prep, but how strong are your doors? Should you board your windows that face the street? Your prep sounds like hurricane prep, and so does mine, heh.

A firing weapon might be a good item to have on hand … I would assume that's a given since ammo is listed.

Add a Mossburg 500 pump gun, 200 rounds of 3”#2 to your list.

In case someone tries to damage i.e. burn your home, do you have a second place that you and the missus can sleep for a few days till you get more organized?
Disruption can happen no matter who wins. Some of the thug type will have all this pent up anticipation of unspecified rage or chaos, ready to be vented in some manner.
Similar to the city that just won a basketball championship briefly going up in flames because ‘people are celebrating’.

A solar/crank one is useful.

You don't want to make noise which attracts zombies. If a silencer isn't an option, you may want a crossbow or compound bow. Quantities of pepper spray and a Burna pepper ball gun may come in handy.
Alternatively, if you want to announce loudly that you're armed, you can get a loudencer.

A loud recording of a big mean dog if you don’t have a guard dog perps hate dogs. Maybe a bunch of beware of dog signs. How about some Kamala for president lawn signs?
Definitely stored water because there will be no water pressure if there are fires.
Baby wipes and and trash bags for putting in the toilet to poop in since it won’t flush. And somewhere to store those bags.

South Philly. You are a brave soul. I moved from a 50/50 southern city fearful of what could happen 2 1/2 years ago. I am now in 90/10 territory and feeling much more secure.
