Democrats are currently focused on the fight against Donald Trump. But quietly, factions within the party are preparing contingency plans for a different battle: the one over how to interpret a Kamala Harris loss.
Polls of the 2024 election show the closest presidential race in modern memory. For Harris, defeat is roughly as likely as victory. The former outcome is sure to trigger a fierce, intra-Democratic debate over what the party should learn from losing the White House (twice) to an unpopular demagogue
If Harris loses, expect Democrats to move right With 15 days left, we need your help
The US presidential campaign is in its final weeks and we’re dedicated to helping you understand the stakes. In this election cycle, it’s more important than ever to provide context beyond the headlines. But in-depth reporting is costly, so to continue this vital work, we have an ambitious goal to add 5,000 new members.
If Harris loses, expect Democrats to move right
Even though Harris is running as a moderate, progressives are likely to get blamed for her defeat.

The moderate Democrats want to get rid of the Progressives with the same intensity that the old Country Club GOP wants to get right of MAGA.
It sure will be interesting.
Stupidest thing I’ve ever read.
Same here. A dumb fluff piece.
I think they’ll seek candidates that can put on a better performance, and lie more convincingly. Their policies ratchet relentlessly leftward. Right is not an option.
You mean fake right, then cut left.
If Donald Trump is elected I expect the Democrats have prepared their army of radical thugs to riot, loot, and kill Whitey.
And push for a civil war.
I’m going to send the DNC a box full of MAGA hats.
Oh wait, that line has already been taken.
“My Bad.”

That's rat code for "she's lying to fool those rubes."
I respectfully disagree. The Dims of the near future will have some changes back to normal (i.e. no more trans, grooming in schools, blatant anti-white screed, etc.). But the new Dims of being vocally pro-socialist will remain. By getting rid of the cultural weird stuff they’ll be able to rebrand themselves as moderate left of center, when really they’ll be way further left than before Obama got into the WH.
...and drink the Kool-Aid.
Assignation?
Correction: “Even though Comma La is lying about being a moderate......”
HOW TO ACCEPT A HARRIS LOSS?
ADMIT SHE SUCKS-—IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE.
I hope the party splits
If Harris looses expect the RATs to set loose their armies of illegals, BLM and AntiFa with with complete files with photos of targets.
No, they will whine and complain, you will even see some talking head say something about not getting their message out. You MAY even see the Dems turn on Kamala and/or Biden as being weak or ineffective with X voting block,
No way.
When democrats lose, they double down… they triple down. It’s what they do.
The Joe Manchin standard.
The Democrats have cobbled this coalition on the premise that conservatism is heartless and leaves a trail of despair and misery in it's wake. Whether it's financial harm to poor people, emotional harm to the LGBT crowd, or the whole ball of wax harm to people of color.
But after seeing what the Democrats have done in 12 of the last 16 years, it looks more and more like the country is moving into indentured servitude, while a select group of elites get really rich. There isn't joy in being in debt that seems to have no end.
All the Democrats have left is a promise to take care of people who see no value in taking care of themselves- mostly people who have emotional disturbances that are being treated with psychiatric drugs.
Of course, I'm not sure the party is dead yet, but it needs to be. And I hope it will be further crippled in the election.
