If Harris loses, expect Democrats to move right
VOX ^ | 10/22/24 | Eric Levitz

Democrats are currently focused on the fight against Donald Trump. But quietly, factions within the party are preparing contingency plans for a different battle: the one over how to interpret a Kamala Harris loss.

Polls of the 2024 election show the closest presidential race in modern memory. For Harris, defeat is roughly as likely as victory. The former outcome is sure to trigger a fierce, intra-Democratic debate over what the party should learn from losing the White House (twice) to an unpopular demagogue

If Harris loses, expect Democrats to move right With 15 days left, we need your help

The US presidential campaign is in its final weeks and we’re dedicated to helping you understand the stakes. In this election cycle, it’s more important than ever to provide context beyond the headlines. But in-depth reporting is costly, so to continue this vital work, we have an ambitious goal to add 5,000 new members.

If Harris loses, expect Democrats to move right

Even though Harris is running as a moderate, progressives are likely to get blamed for her defeat.

Not if Obama has anything to say about it and Obama has been in control of the Dems and the Left since 2008.

I think there is an element of truth in this. I believe we’re all watching a bit of a civil war within the Democrat party. Someone is trying to destroy the radical left element within their ranks and leadership.

Their rabid dogs are always there. Clinton kept them in their cage. Obama let them out, and they’ve caused ruin all around. I would expect, especially if Kamala gets blown out like McGovern in 1972, that something like Clinton’s Democrat Leadership Council will emerge

“If Harris loses, expect Democrats to move right” into declaring a national emergency and invalidate the election because of massive voter fraud.

There, fixed it

LOL! The Democrats aren’t moving right anytime soon. They may tamp down some of their public support for many of their most progressive policies, but they have allowed the very far left progressives to take over their party. Those progressives aren’t going away and more of the same type have been created in the universities. Many are being groomed to go into politics.

The media will assist them in much the way they now pretend Harris is “moderate” but if someone peers behind the curtain they will still have the same platform of pushing communism on our nation.

Polls of the 2024 election show the closest presidential race in modern memory.

I don't believe that for one second. Trump to win in a landslide, just like he did in 2020. All this MSM talk of a close race is to give cover to the fraud machine.

Anyone who believes Camel-uh is a moderate has been greatly misled. Buh-by Vox.

They have a few that wear that veneer, Ky. Gov. Beshear is one. Regardless who they put at the top of the ticket, the party machine will not change with Soros and the ilk writing their checks.

Do not believe this article. If democrats lose, they will regroup and cause chaos. They’ve already said this. Anyone who votes for Harris is not going to lose and then step back and take whatever happens.

I honestly don’t understand how people can back this empty woman that strongly. Hillary, I could understand, while disagreeing profoundly.

But I just can’t see how Harris can incite such support.

To a Communist, “moderate” means arresting and charging your opponents with invented crimes rather than shooting them in the head on Day One.

The problem with the Democratic party is they have knitted together things that are mutually antagonistic. Every interest group is only interested if they are the one, and only beneficiary of every dollar available. There’s no sharing. Lesbians hate trans. Trans want to have sex with lesbians. Every alphabet and hyphenated group you can imagine hates every other alphabet and hyphenated group.

I saw a flyer from Warnok prattling on about freedom. The Democrat party position on slavery when it mattered, and wasn’t just for show, was FOR.

Republicans need to make a strategic move every election, and in-between as well. The entire Democratic party should be tarnished and shamed every two years if not more often.

The Democrats have a track record, and it is terrible. Pro-slavery, Indian genocide (Trail of Tears), Japanese internment. We’ve seen how the treat the Black man, the Red man and the Yellow man. Yet we allow them to blame America for racism.
