Shares of 23andMe are now worth pennies. The company’s valuation has plummeted 99% from its $6 billion peak shortly after the company went public in 2021.
...
What is the company’s plan for all the data it has collected since it was founded in 2006?
...
When signing up for the service, about 80% of 23andMe’s customers have opted in to having their genetic data analyzed for medical research.
The company has an agreement with pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline, or GSK, that allows the drugmaker to tap the tech company’s customer data to develop new treatments for disease.
...HIPAA, does not apply to 23andMe since it is a company outside of the health care realm.
...
Although DNA data has no federal safeguards, some states, like California and Florida, do give consumers rights over their genetic information.
...
23andme says it will not let law enforcement search its database
...
Kill said the company does not allow law enforcement to search its database.
The company has, however, received subpoenas to access its genetic information.
According to 23andMe’s transparency report, authorities have sought genetic data on 15 individuals since 2015, but the company has resisted the requests and never produced data for investigators.
“We treat law enforcement inquiries, such as a valid subpoena or court order, with the utmost seriousness. We use all legal measures to resist any and all requests in order to protect our customers’ privacy,”

Recall when Mark Zuckerberg wanted access to all of our private medical records for Facebook, red flag for anyone awake and looking. Meta is a NWO honeypot of user provided data for the ant-Christ globalists to sift through like wheat.
I recall years ago when certain agencies were seeking Ukrainian DNA and even advertising for it.
China, WEF with Klaus and his false prophet Yuval Noah Harari will all have nefarious future experimental gene therapy uses for our information
Never provide this information knowingly or willingly, certainly don’t pay them for the privilege of stealing it from us.

They were banking on people interested in predicting their future medical needs based on genetic information. They found out that people would rather not know their future. The predictive value of genetic information is not well established except for a select number of conditions like breast and pancreatic cancer.
The concern in the future is whether insurance companies will require this testing as a way to control life insurance liabilities. Paranoia aside, your genetic information has no value to China or anyone else if it isn’t connected to your medical records.

The DNA analysis business model I think has a problem in that it’s a one time thing.
So you run out of customers after a while.
Ancestry has genealogical data bases which people are more likely to pay a yearly fee to access.

What do you think the COVID tests were for, other than harvesting our DNA?
If you can (allegedly) catch Covid by being closer than 6 feet from someone, sticking a foot-long swab up your nose is beyond ridiculous. People never questioned the logic.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with it’s Family Research Center and it’s Ancestry.com would gladly buy and take all that and merge it into Ancestry.
