WASHINGTON (AP) — Donald Trump “resorted to crimes” in a failed bid to cling to power after losing the 2020 election, federal prosecutors said in a newly unsealed court filing that argues that the former president is not entitled to immunity from prosecution. The filing was unsealed Wednesday. It was submitted by special counsel Jack Smith’s team following a Supreme Court opinion that conferred broad immunity on former presidents and narrowed the scope of the prosecution. To make it illegal to challenge election results, would be the definition of a dictatorship.

BTW Biden had 6000 lawyers on call around the nation, ready to challenge the election.
He took advantage of covid-19 to make sure states would collect mail in ballots.
When you're playing a football game, you don't change the rules as you're playing the game. You wait until the season is over. And then you can change the rules if you want.
But the rules were changed during the election of 2020. That made the whole thing "sus".

There is plenty of evidence that it was a fraudulent election. Pence didn’t have access to the information that a president would have. Additionally, probability and later revelations reveal a solid basis for actually concluding the election was fraudulent.

The motion filed by Smith today is exactly the analysis the Supreme Court directed the District Court to conduct. Trump’s lawyers will file a response, and then Chutkin will determine which, if any, acts by Trump were outside the course and scope of official presidential acts.
Donald Trump knew what a terrible president Biden would be, and events have proven concerns valid.
Biden is a crook and his son is a full time criminal.
Both Biden and his vice president are incompetent fools at best, and traitors at worst.
Now run it by us again, what did Trump do? In my view, he tried to save America from a disaster. A crime? No.
The “crimes” of the Jan 6 protestors are also vastly overstated. Any reasonable person could conclude from voting patterns as reported (the midnight surge in swing states) that fraud was very probable. I for one still believe there WAS massive voter fraud in the 2020 election.
I also believe mismanagement of the border is probably the greatest single criminal act in American history, unless corruption related to the ukraine-Russia conflict is greater (taken together, easily worse than corruption in previous cases, Warren harding looks like a saint by comparison).
Everyone involved should be punished accordingly, starting by voting them out in November.
