WASHINGTON — Stellantis said Monday it is recalling 194,000 plug-in hybrid electric Jeep SUVs to address fire risks after 13 fires were reported, and it told owners to park outside and away from other vehicles until recall repairs are completed.

The Italian-American automaker is recalling some 2020 through 2024 model year Jeep Wrangler and 2022 through 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee plug-in hybrids. The issue involves a battery component, the company said.

The Chrysler-parent company said the fires occurred when the vehicles were parked and turned off. It estimates 5% of affected vehicles may have the defect.

So what is the repair? Installing a V8?

By now there has been ample publicity of these hazards. One can only surmise the vehicles are being bought by dummies.

In a big city, it’s not that easy to park outside and away from other cars. Good luck with that.

ICE and EV vehicles both can burn spontaneously but the truck is, ICE incidents tend to flicker while the owner starts or drives it.

EV do it while the owner sleeps.
Big difference.

Jeep needs to be recalling all they cars they've used to desecrate the US flag.

4 U.S. Code § 7 stipulates "the union should be uppermost and to the flag’s own right, that is, to the observer’s left with the blue union in the upper left position."

Some US armed forces wear a patch on their right shoulder with the flag horizontal and the union in the upper right to simulate streaming toward the enemy. This is a privilege awarded to the US Armed Forces and which the Jeep corporation (not any other commercial entity) has not earned. This is is a desecration tantamount to STOLEN VALOR.

<>So what is the repair? Installing a V8?<>

Second sentence:

“The issue involves a battery component, the company said.”

It helps to read before posting. Try it.
