Las Vegas radio stations have banned Green Day after frontman Billie Joe Armstrong called the city “the worst shit hole in America” during a recent performance.
While Armstrong’s comments were connected to his opinion on the A’s leaving Oakland and planning to move to Las Vegas, the Green Day frontman nevertheless chose to trash the entire city in an expletive-laden rant.

Who even listens to radio stations anymore? I stream almost 100% of the music I listen to these days. I don't think I could even name one local station on my FM dial.
Not that aging rock bands are important either. If I go to a concert, rare these days, I want to see an artist in their prime. I don't want to watch an 80-year-old Mick Jagger shuffle-step to "Satisfaction" to some rent-a-drummer because the original drummer died of old age.
Green Day was a thing in the 1990s. Now they are just another bunch of old grouches lackadaisically playing their decades-old string of hits to a bunch of old affluent people with the disposable income to drop several hundred dollars a ticket for a night out to try and relive their glory days.
It's a sad sight all around.
Funny thing is, LV used to play their songs on Fremont Street sync’d with the overhead TV screen.
East St. Louis
I preferred the best: Led Zeppelin or Stevie Ray Vaughan.
Oh, you mean another One-Foot-In-The-Grave tour?
Las Vegas May not be worst, but it’s up there.
Check out Cairo, illannoy while you are at it. Fitting that both these gems are in the same sphincter state.
One can talk about how the Mafia was corrupt and made everything more expensive but the only difference now is that it is the politicians cashing in on all the graft and now the streets are much less safe.
I would ban Green Day just on the basis they suck and always have.
Maybe he should visit Washington, DC, the nasty, malodorous, fetid, rank, ghastly swamp, as Gorka like to call it.
Green Day? You misspelled gay didn’t you?
It’s a sad indictment of our government when certain well-known families provide better security than the government itself.
The irony of having that song. How old are these guys now? Still trying to be edgy...showing they’re just immature morons that have never grown up or learned anything.
I just saw Yes and Deep Purple in concert. I wasn’t expecting much as they are all ageing. It was all original members with 1 exception. I was blown away. All these guys were surprisingly on top of their game. The concert was scorchingly good and both bands were extremely tight.
There are much worse places in America.
I was aggressively pursued by a weirdo and had to go in a store to try to get away from him. Still followed me in I yelled loud as I could “get the F away from me “ whole store turned around to see what was happening. Finally left me alone. Wife thought I was going to fight him. Later we were at an outdoor bar, I left to use the bathroom. When I came back my wife was sitting behind the bar and the bouncer was tossing some jerks out into the street. The were harassing her and offering her money for sex. She is very pretty. She was so freaked out we took a cab 3 blocks to the hotel and never went out again. F Vegas. Never going back.
You got that right!
Green Day should have banned from radio for their music.
