Who even listens to radio stations anymore? I stream almost 100% of the music I listen to these days. I don't think I could even name one local station on my FM dial.
Not that aging rock bands are important either. If I go to a concert, rare these days, I want to see an artist in their prime. I don't want to watch an 80-year-old Mick Jagger shuffle-step to "Satisfaction" to some rent-a-drummer because the original drummer died of old age.
Green Day was a thing in the 1990s. Now they are just another bunch of old grouches lackadaisically playing their decades-old string of hits to a bunch of old affluent people with the disposable income to drop several hundred dollars a ticket for a night out to try and relive their glory days.
It's a sad sight all around.
Oh, you mean another One-Foot-In-The-Grave tour?
I just saw Yes and Deep Purple in concert. I wasn’t expecting much as they are all ageing. It was all original members with 1 exception. I was blown away. All these guys were surprisingly on top of their game. The concert was scorchingly good and both bands were extremely tight.
