@stillgray

Mark Zuckerberg now identifies as a libertarian and has reportedly hired a Republican PR firm to help rehabilitate his image and repair his relationship with Trump. Thoughts?

Trust once broken is hard to rebuild. Concrete actions to prove he won’t censor speech again. Pure speech.

I think he’s sincere. Elon’s bravery in standing up for free speech has shamed him. He knows he shouldn’t have rolled over for the deep state.

May be some truth in that. We can hope, yeah?

Lots of people grow up and become conservative. Nothing wrong with that. What is wrong that his company controls and manipulates the world and now we have communism.

Oh and that ‘letter’ that he sent about his regrets was a great way of letting all of the politicians know that he is in charge and will continue to be the path to all levels of political power.

If he throws in 800M (same value of 400M 4 years ago) to support PDJT then we might forgive him

I think Mark realizes he got bamboozled by the FBI during the 2020 election cycle.

As for marking the line between keeping his platform safe from vicious personal attacks versus allowing freedom of speech, I also think he realizes that freedom of speech is more important than he used to think.

Hopefully, we will see others follow. Hopefully, we will see the corporate world continue to reign in their pursuit of the woke agenda and also - is it even possible? - the education world.

“Zucky is trying to hedge his bet in case Trump wins.”

I’ve noticed a few others have recently “softened” their attitudes toward PDJT, likely for the same reason.

He may be sincere. After the first assassination attempt when Trump stood and pumped his fist after getting shot in the face, Zuck said "That was one of the most bad a** things I've ever seen."

I need to see a lot more, but maybe.

If little Mark has become a Libertarian, why should that bring Trump a warm and fuzzy feeling?

Remember the 2020 GA vote count:

Step one: publicly release all records of Facebook’s censorship including all internal communications, communications from government officials in all countries and details of any “algorithms” blamed.

And all it took was the Dems threat to tax unrealized capital gains.

“But I’ll be more convinced if Meta makes some significant changes on free speech and their “community” standards...and so far it hasn’t.”

The answer to the leftist domination of social media and mainstream media companies is free market competition. Use antitrust law to break them up.

A market with 1000 aggressive competitors results in a diversity of approaches to the marketplace, specialization to serve market segments, cost efficiency, multiple choices for customers, and significant innovation. Markets dominated by one or two giant corporations result in government/corporate collusion to prevent new market entrants, the stifling of innovation and high costs.

I think it’s possible. He’s also become pretty good friends with Stephen Crowder, so he (Crowder) may have really had an effect on him.
