Word salad is a term used to describe a confused or meaningless mixture of words and phrases when speaking.1 Word salads can be found in various contexts but are especially common among people with certain mental health conditions or neurological disorders such as schizophrenia ordementia.

Those affected may struggle to communicate their thoughts coherently, leading to sentences that lack logical structure, contain some nonsensical words and phrases, and make little sense overall. Word salads are often accompanied by other symptoms related to the underlying illness and can cause distress for both the speaker and those around them.

Nope.

She’s an Alzheimer’s Moonbat just like her boss.

I think the cause may well lie with Willie Brown’s hand motions causing HeelsUp to (willingly) endure repeated (think in terms of years) concussive effects, not unlike pro football player injuries.

Classic Pseudobulbar Affect (PBA). Probably from headboard abuse.

Inappropriate laughter? Primary symptom.

Secondary symptoms of depression and private yet profane outbursts to colleagues and family.

Trump campaign needs to press on this, put out an expert available to FoxNews. It's been done to him repeatedly and now he must pay it back.

I've met people like this all my life, worked with them had friends and relatives who are and were the same way.

Some of it could be explained as a number of things; social awkwardness, a neurological condition of some kind, social anxiety and some people are either poorly educated, functionally illiterate , lazy or just plain stupid. And listening to them can be torture. Mind you I'm no virtuoso or fantastic drummer but I can more than carry a tune and keep a beat and tone, pitch, and tempo are never far away in my mind and it disturbs when people can't simply speak clearly at times. It's even more annoying when the speaker is some immigrant who is struggling to speak. So when someone is attempting to communicate to me in the rather hilarious but sad way you described after thirty seconds or less my mind is saying "For crying out loud will you slow down and tell just what the hell are you trying to say?!

If that were the case, she’d merely have the same public speaking problems as Obama and her speechwriters could keep her at least speaking coherently.

This is something health-related.

I’ve never seen someone awake on Xanax, so I can’t say.
