From burger behemoths to international pizza joints, F&W rounds up the world's largest fast food chains.
McDonald's
The burger behemoth tops the list over Subway by a few hundred stores worldwide. While the Big Mac is ubiquitous in the United States, in Europe the chain also sells the Big Rösti for a limited time each year — beef patty, hash brown patty, Emmentaler cheese, and bacon on an onion-flavored bun.

I know there are a lot of local fast food chains that are favorites.
It's Sunday have fun, and flame away.
They are all now owned by Venture Capital companies.
You know what they call a quarter-pounder in Europe?
Drive-through death.
That’s where the employment is for young folk starting out-that plus retail. it gives them a bad attitude about work that they carry into middle age. On the plus side they can learn the value of a buck as well as a 401k program if they are taught to use their heads and not spend their money on tattoos. If rests weren’t so explosive they could stay in share rentals with strangers. I works at a young age.
Me, I bypassed all that and joined the military for 4 years. That and then 4 years on the GI bill. 8 years on the dole but earned.
I remember when their burgers were 25 cents.
I've eaten at McDonald's a few times in Europe, not recently, but don't remember what they call the quarter-pounder. Don't think I ever ordered it.
Hundred grammer?
1. McDonald’s
2. Subway
3. Starbucks

5. Burger King
6. Domino’s

There’s more. Working an odd shift can free ones days to engage in other money making/learning experiences. They don’t need any sleep. I think Trump as POTUS can and should encourage every 13-year old to work in one of those joints 12 hours a weekend and get a head start on those 401k’s. Middle class kids like Kamala can bypass those endeavors.
Royale with cheese.

Whomever is running Wendy’s these days ought to be whipped.
we had a lot of local chains that are dead. I miss many of them.
Currently we have a a burger place that is down to three.
They were bought by a different restaurant chain for some reason maybe 15 years ago and while the food is the same, they keep closing locations because development and ada requirements or other excuses.
I still go a few times a year even if the closest one is 15 miles away, despite the fact that I used to be able to get a double bacon burger and fries for $5 and now it is $16
I just don’t want them all to close.
Whomever is running Wendy’s these days ought to be whipped.
Aren’t there something like 10,000 KFC outlets in China? I read some time ago that KFC is extremely popular there.
Tarantino foul language alert, but surprisingly a whole minute and a half with no deaths.
Dang... everybody been to Europe these days.
It’s a joke from a movie. They don’t have quarter pounders because they use the metric system. The correct answer is “Royale with Cheese”.
So, what do you think they call The Whopper?
I never buy anything from fast food chains though years ago, ChickFilet was OK with me. And decades ago, Steak and Shake, great food, nice shops.
I hate pizza. I don’t eat wheat or pork ,and gave up beef recently when they started injecting MRNA vax into cows. Which leaves me with organic, pasture-raised chicken. Also eat Pacific Coast Canadian salmon. And organic Tofu, which I make yum enough with Trader Joe Sweet Chili Sauce. Trader is great source for all my faves, lucky to have one within walking distance.
Their Olive Burger is good, their onion rings are good.
But.... their fried apple pies are SO good!
A nice cold Vernors to wash it all down.
Milo's is pretty good as well. We stop there every year while traveling to visit family.
The little local chains are always fun to visit.
I miss Mr Fables.
