My town of 10,000 has been overwhelmed with a developer wanting to add 2500 family units before we had any services like water, schools, or post office ready. It’s been a big deal for 3 years. He asked for approval when council meetings were being done by zoom. As soon as they allowed us regular folk back in for in person meetings, there was a huge uproar. We’ve done everything we can to slow down the development, but it’s happening whether the townsfolk like it or not.
I really feel for Springfield. It’s always been a cute town. No idea what it looks like now.

Near where I grew up in Spring Valley, NY there’s been a large a large Haitian community for over 50yrs. There’s more animosity between them and “native born” Blacks than across racial lines, tribalism. In all fairness to those people it’s almost unheard of when pets are stolen by them. Most of them are 2nd, 3rd generation who moved from Brooklyn or Southeast Queens.
500,000 people from four countries being flown to the interior of the USA by the Biden administration are here illegally since Biden does not have the authority to do this. Our feckless Republicans in Washington just watch the Biden administration do unconstitutional things over and over. Sickening.
I remember when Trump was president. Every time he tried to do anything to tighten up the border, it was in court almost immediately. After that Trump’s actions took months before they wound through the courts and were found to be constitutional. Are there any lawsuits by Republicans against Biden’s border invasion.?

Don’t know about the cat stories, but I did see a video of a Springfield OH woman who said that a couple of Haitian men
came to her house and wanted to “rent” a chicken for a young girl’s coming of age party.
She said they became abusive when she refused to rent or sell them one of her live chickens.
Another time she saw 2 Haitian men climb her fence and chase her pet ducks and geese around the yard until she ran them off.

That is NOT the issue. The issue is the federal government dumping 20,000 uneducated, third-worlders from the most failed nation in the Western Hemisphere on a small midwestern town in the dark of night. The people were never asked if they wanted these outsiders dumped en masse on them. The government itself decided to do this, to break the cultural cohesion of a small midwestern town.
In the past, such towns grew through organic growth assimilating new immigrants slowly. Those immigrants wanted to become Americans. But not these Haitians. They were intentionally dumped on this town and they are here under TEMPORARY Protected Status. “On June 28, 2024, Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro N. Mayorkas announced the extension and redesignation of Haiti for TPS for 18 months, from Aug. 4, 2024, through Feb. 3, 2026.”
So these people will have to leave in 18 months. Do you think they have any interest in becoming Americans, becoming citizens?
The government’s actions have disrupted the community, overwhelmed public safety, overwhelmed schools, overwhelmed health care and have cause unscrupulous landlords to triple rents and evict tenants of many years.
Forget the pet and goose eating. That is a red herring. The real issue is our out-of-control government destroying our culture, our people, and our country without our consent.
