Are witches real? Of course! Witch historian and modern practitioners share history, types.
Good and evil are everywhere.. Try this 14min. video about Beck’s visit to the Vatican.... Very interesting.

The coven on the view!
maybe our ancestors weren’t so ‘ignorant’ when they were burning witches at the stake.
Excluding Salem of course which had nothing to do with witchcraft. What happened there is no different than what’s happening to Trump and MAGA supporters today.
My 8th great-grandfather, John Proctor, was hung in Salem. Fasely accused of witchcraft.
Lol!
Excerpt from the article:
“As a practice, witchcraft dates back as early as the 10th century.”
____________
Hard to believe these are historians with a ridiculous statement like that.
USA Today said the exact same thing in an article I found. So they either plagiarized the article or had AI write it. Either way... how delightfully Western-centric of them. lol
Perfect! LOL!
“I do believe in spooks...I do, I do, I do”
Oops. My bad. MSN claimed the USA Today article. Mea culpa.
Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.

The best documentary on the subject, according to experts.

“Insane people in to the occult and worse, usually take drugs.”
Don’t believe everything you read. By definition witchcraft is the practice of magic, especially for evil purposes; the use of spells. (Oxford dictionary)
But there are good and evil spells and they have nothing to do with magic. Just the belief that they work because someone said they did. I can say there will be someone killed on the roadways today. Does that make me a witch when it happens?
The modern name for witches is wiccans. Most wiccans believe in a horned male god and a moon goddess, though some Dianic Wiccans only believe in the goddess. Some Wiccans believe that the god and goddess are equal. Some wiccans worship nature, often personifying it as Mother Earth and Father Sky.
But witches have been tossed into things they had nothing to do with. They are not worshippers of Satan. And they have nothing to do with hallow’s eve. Never seen one riding a broom through the air. They are pagan by definition, and will no one harm unless given to them. Yes they dance and speak in unknown voices. So do Pentacostals. And not only good wiches are pretty like in the Wizard of Oz.
Witch craft is another of those stories that has been used for gain. Hollywood has brutalized their existance and anyone that didn’t fit the description of normallity of the town they were in was identified.
They are just people that believe in another form of a religion or sect. And where is the line drawn. Jehovah’s Witnesses do not celebrate holidays that they believe do not fit true Christianity. These include Christmas, Easter, and even birthdays. The Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that Christ did not command his birth - or any birth - to be celebrated; he just wanted his death to be remembered.
And then we get into religions like Islam, Buddism,
Judaism, and the extreme, Satanism. The satonic bible was published in 1969 by Anton MacVey. Are they all witches?
Witches are just people with a different religion. Word of mouth and agenda made them evil.

The Witch of Endor.
Scott Cunningham wrote about a dozen books on Wiccan subjects.
Wiccan’s can run the entire gambit of society in general. I had a sister who married a guy, they had a Wiccan/Witchcraft shop, were the head of coven... bisexual initians, blood sacrifices, white magic, and of course the use of herbs, plants and minerals/rocks, being one with nature, etc.
I knew of a guy/met him twice in passing that was the leader of a group who some type of Witch/Alien worshipers called the Bridge. Not sure what they were up to, but they sought out people with golden halo’s or purity of goodness to be their leaders.
I always though the fine line between dark and light, good and evil, insanity and sanity is similar to dancing on the Razor’s edge, slip and fall to one side or the other or die in the fall.
Much of my formal college studies related to cultures, education, and religions, philosophy. There are overlapping patterns in differnt cultures, and philosphy. I choose to classify everything except the belief in the God of the Jews/Christians as a philosphy.

As do I. But I chose to spend a long part of my life defending people’s right to worship as they please as long as it didn’t violate laws and/or harm people.
I have no idea what the first religion was in the world as neither I or any of the authors who write books about them were around. But if it pertained to nature, the earth, water, wind, rain (and God help them fear of thunder and lightening), and the facination of death might have been part of that religion. They are all life thretening things done in nature that we futher understnd now. But at that time, it was all they had to include no explanation. Fire came from lightening and developing volcanoes so it took some thinking on that.
I had a friend in northern California when I was stationed there who was the head of a coven. We talked at length and he was always laughing at what Hollywood has done to witch.
“...the fine line between dark and light, good and evil, insanity and sanity is similar to dancing on the Razor’s edge...”
Good analogies except for insanity and sanity. That is many tomes quesionable as to what makes a person insane. Is an insane person who can figure out mathmatics actully insane? You kust described Albert Einstein. And to throw a little fun into yhou separation thoughts salt and pepper are not opposites, they’re two separate spices. It’s not what it is, it’s what it’s called and presented as.
“...cultures, education, and religions, philosophy...”
All four of these are very hard to define. Each one has it’s own place depending on where you are. And remember, our education by our culture defines Satanism as a religion and it is classified and taught that way. Pretty broad definition isn’t it?
And as for the “experts” defining religion, the best definition I have heard of them is that they are people with an opinion on any topic more than 200 miles from home. Thank you for the entry.
