Kremlin: Russia plans to drive Ukrainian troops out of Kursk

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the Russian military has developed a plan to expel Ukrainian troops from the Kursk Region.

"Naturally, the military has all necessary plans but I don’t think that these plans can be discussed publicly," he said when asked when Ukrainian troops will be driven out of Russia’s territory, News.Az reports citing TASS.

Russia’s borderline Kursk Region came under a massive attack from Ukraine on August 6. A federal state of emergency is in effect in the region.

You have seen the videos of American and other NATO equipment getting destroyed haven't you? Himars, Abrams, triple 7 howitzers, Leopard tanks, challenger tanks and patriot air defense systems. Ukraine is losing the equipment faster than it can be produced. They are also losing soldiers faster than they can be replaced. Dragging men off the streets will not create good soldiers. A Ukrainian officer just said that not all new recruits abandon their positions but the majority do if they survive the first day. That statement is damning.

What good is coastline if you have no boats?

If the war were taking place at sea, Russia has much greater fleet strength, more than 7 times the number owned by the Ukraine.

But, since the war is actually fought on land in the East, Russia moved it's ships out of the Black Sea after losing some to drones. Makes sense - they plan to return once they defeat the Ukraine.

That... seems out of date. Ukraine has no navy. Russia has navies in other theaters, not so much the Black Sea these days since the Ukrainians started sinking Russian vessels at will. The survivors are huddled at the far end of the Black Sea in Russian-occupied Georgia.
